Rowe and Dack have a chance to be involved on Saturday!
Hawkins has a knee injury, Dieng a hamstring issue, and Max Clark missed the Bromley game as his partner gave birth. Little still likely to be out with his hamstring injury.

Just start both Dack and Rowe even if they’re both only half fit they can’t be any worse than the absolute shower of sht that is our current midfield.

It'll be a bad call to risk early returns for Dack and Rowe just to put a different team out on Saturday.

What's with that twat in the 'comments' calling for Max to be stripped of the captaincy and for Morris to start as he's "by far the better keeper".

Ehmer hasn't made many mistakes this season and v Bromley he was better than both Masterson and Ogie. He obviously didn't watch the game as Turner made two great saves in the first half whilst Morris looked very dodgy in the second.

Ehmer has been poor for last few games especially as leader/captain

Ogie been even more erratic.

Both should be dropped if we had replacements
Don't agree with you on that one Martin.

Max might have been playing high up when Bromley broke for their first goal and Ogie got a great tackle in but the ball flew across to Congreve to score. If anything Hutton was to blame for not covering the far post runners.

Bromley's second goal was really down to a poor attempt of a headed clearance by Nevitt then a mix up which led to the ball falling to Jude Arthur.
Mckenzie and Ogie, who were less then a metre away watched while he blasted it into the net.

I would argue - again - that our defence is not the problem.
We have the second best defensive record in L2. Our problem is the central midfield not supplying decent through balls, our wingers not running at people and our strikers not taking half chances when they arrive.

You could drop scapegoat Ehmer tomorrow but it won't change the fundamental problems with the present Gills team.

It wasn’t really a mix up that led to the ball falling to Jude Arthur; but a poor clearance from Ehmer who went to ground as he volleyed it straight to Arthur who volleyed it back into the goal.

I think McKenzie and Ogie were more at fault for the first goal.

Bonner was asked today in the press conference if he’d consider changing the Captain, he said no.

I do find this particular journalist’s questioning quite poor - in this case there could have been a follow up to the ‘no’ with his reasons for asking the question.

At least Bonner doesn’t have to put up with frequent questions about his dad like Clemence had to.

Mike Green I believe, he’s asks the more unusual questions towards the end when the others have already asked about player availability etc.

If every player in the club was fully fit I'd expect them to be as shit as they have been for the last 2 months.

No heart.

Ok, let's agree on that point.
But are you saying that all the current team problems are down to Max Ehmer and the odd mistake that he might make.
Again, I will stress that we have the second best defence in the league.

No way either of those will be playing Saturday. Maybe bench warmers and 5 mins at the end in an attempt to raise spirits.

But what would be the point of bringing Dack and Rowe back into this current environment anyway? Neither have played for the best part of 6 months. And it doesn’t sound like we’ve had any reserve games, friendlies, behind closed doors games or whatever to give them any match practice.

No it’s clearly a bigger issue than one player.
But our defence has got a lot more unsteady since we started that losing run vs Grimsby.
We seem to switch off defensively after we score a goal, maybe the team don’t know whether to stick or twist at that point and end up conceding again.

We had the best defensive record by a country mile for about the first 10 games. Now we are conceding plenty and based on current form are average at best.

Going forward we offer nothing, not to different from the first 10 games, but we are no longer secure at the back. Let's not kid ourselves.

They have indeed become more unsteady but so have the rest of the team and you are right we do seem really wobbly after we go a goal up - perhaps it's shock!

The lack of goals is the root of the problem - it has been for the last 4 seasons.
