Vital Youth Team
Lets just look at the outfield players that were involved yesterday:

Naughton: Has only ever looked ordinary at best. Woeful before going off injured.
VdH: A Tony Pulis anti-football type defender. Good header and kicks it long, nothing else. A bit slow. £2m player that Ajax were happy to sell for such a low price.
Mawson: Didn't look ready for PL. Came from League 1 pretty much.
Taylor: Useless as always. Nowhere near good enough. Championship standard.

Ki: Made to look decent alongside a lacklustre Fer.
Fer: Lacklustre. Championship standard, a passenger, a spectator. A saw one fan jumping for an header and he did more in the game than Fer did.
Routledge: his best game this season, but still not good enough, never offers width.
Barrow - nowhere near good enough. Not sure what some people see in Barrow other than pace. Never made an impact in the Championship.
Sigurdsson: felt sorry for him, the only one who really looked like he fitted in in a PL game for us. Plenty of effort, and wasn't helped by those around him.

Llorente: Similar to the above in fairness, fed off scraps, needed more link-up play with GS. Not close enough to each other often enough.

Rangel: Think back to that penalty vs Liverpool, he had another shocker.
Borja: A lot of movement but game was lost by then.
Cork: pointless late sub.
