Good luck to him. Very unfortunate all round. An awkward looking player who nevertheless when he first started with us seemed to have the knack of sticking his leg in the right place at the right time. We'll never know how he might have turned out for us; when he did come back he looked short of confidence. Hope his sequence of injuries has come to an end.

In the short time that we saw Libor play i think its harsh to judge him either way to be honest.

The only ceratin thing is that sadly his serious injury has ruined his career.

Kozak had a hard time at Villa, he came from Lazio and you don't play 58 times for them without having something. The injuries were horrific, it just didn't work out for him, wrong place and definitely the wrong time. I hope he has better luck in the future.
Another Villa buy that went wrong.

Good luck to him. I thought he looked like he was starting to get to grips with the premier league when he got his 1st injury and did score a few important goals that season. I hope he finds a good club and stays injury free.

Good luck to him but another disastrous waste of money, slow and hadn't scored in the league he was playing in for months. A mad gamble based on hunches and a lack of evidence like so many we have bought. But it's not his fault at all and he'll need all his strength of character and resolution to get his career back together again. I really hope he does.

Shame for him with injuries, he never really had a chance to show us what he might have been able to do. I must admit I think if he'd been fit he'd have done well in this division, he seemed the strong physical sort.

Shame for us the fans and the club as well, more money wasted.

We seem to have a lot of awful luck with this sort of thing (some just bad decisions) ... just look at the new buys this year, De Laet and Birkir. Kodjia busted ankle is awful as well, he won't (by the looks of it?) be fit for the start of the new season so will have to have time to get up to speed.

Then there was the great buy, Luc Nilis, looked a real find and lasted only one or two games before a horrific injury. And Bouma.

We do seem to get the shitty end of the stick every time a shitty stick is there to be grabbed, its the Collymore syndrome, we get more than our fair share of duffers since.

What was he £7m and 5 years on £50k a week . £20m wasted.

Wow, what a horrendous waste of money!

I'm shocked that he's made so much money from a grand total of
36 professional goals. £12.5m is a great haul for him from us.

I'm not criticising Libor. He had terrible luck with injuries and I'm sure he would have scored a lot more goals for us if he hadn't had such rotten luck with injuries.

The financial side of it is yet more damning evidence of Randy's financial madness. £3,125,000 per goal. :O

Was he just poor, or ws it the injuries.

I suppose we will never know.

Joins the Ivo Stas club , Bosko as president and Berson vice

:110:

He looked decent when he first arrived - 4 goals in 15-odd games - before the injury. Then he missed the whole of the following season and never recovered from that to be fair.

He's still only 27, so hopefully can find himself a new club and steer clear of injuries. He seems to me to be something of a Heskey type - never going to get 20 goals a season (or at least, VERY rarely) but certainly has something to offer.

Good luck to the boy. Personally, I'd rather have someone like him (when fit, obviously) who is willing to give their best than some of the chancers and wasters who have come through the doors of Villa Park in the last few years (and some before that too).

Nzogbia was an even worse financial acquisition. £11m fee and similar big wages and 4 goals in 80 games

At the time the feeling was it was a bit of a coup that we'd managed to get him. He'd just got his 1st cap for France and had kept Wigan up single handed 2 years running. Absolute disgrace the way he let himself go.
