Belgium throw this into the mix....

the Belgian FA have asked City not to take any risks with Kompany...... They fear another breakdown could rule him out of Euro 2016.

I liked Manuel's response to the journo that asked him about Belgium's opinion.

Not sure what the right thing to do is, ordinarily I would say get Kompany back in there but can't help have the feeling he's being rushed and have visions of him getting crocked early again and then being replaced by a disaffected Otter or Mangala who are peeved at being dropped for him in the first place.
 
Is it a great idea to throw a player who's not going to be fully match fit into such a crucial game?

By all means, stick him on the bench if he's fit, but I'd rather not have to rely on those dodgy calves unless we absolutely have to
 
He might just bring him on for 30 mins at the end, but I think I agree 5th I would rather have a fully fit Vinnie, that one that might last anything between 5- 20 mins

Sagna would surely be the safer option if Otamendi is unfit. Guess we'll find out today.

Oh and I am with the camp that thinking it is too soon for Kompany. Has to be too soon given his history.
 
Thbe other thing is if he played Kompany and his mental state was not right and hesitated in trying to go for balls that may cause an injury, it is a minefield unless he is 100%.

Demichelis is not match fit and that's his problem, and Skoorb is right, Sagna is the better option, but we all know that MP will stick with Demichelis if he does not have Otamendi and wont risk Kompany.
 
Having just read Pellegrini's comments about Kompany my inclination is that he will not risk him.

But you are right Buzz, he is almost certain to select Demichelis ahead of Sagna as CB if Otamendi isn't fit.
 
Caution is the go, I think. Big Nik should pull through and I would not risk Vince. We need to play both Ferns plus Yaya to keep the midfield nice and tight with one striker up top.
