Kieran dowell

Bad_Dog - 1/8/2017 22:01

This lad plays in Cloughs position, and will go on to be better than Clough, that's why he's coming in.

So what do we do with Clough, a player we spent £3m on?

Btw not been that impressed with him, but he won't develop if he doesn't play and when dowell goes on to be better he will be back at Everton.

Just competition mate across the team, I feel we needed an extra body in that role.

19. Two games for Everton.

I'm guessing McDonald and Irvine are off then.

Sorry, a real disappointment for me. Even if he is what he need, it's only temporary

What a surprise. Miserable shit

At times we've been strong in possession but lacked creativity and a cutting edge, hopefully he can add to that.

Think he plays right wing too. With ward and cash out this makes sense. Hopefully not a pre cursor to Osborn being sold to Newcastle or Derby for £6m

Everton fans are saying he is their best talent since Barkley and are upset hes not in their squad this year surely that counts for something.

Personally, I don't rate clough on what he has shown so far goes missing for far too long and what if we get further injuries. Prefer to have this lad than the likes of lam as an option for midfield.
He is probably better than any midfielder we have ffs

So when people are slagging off Clough, our own player you've got fook all to say about it.

But if I say I'm disappointed in signing a Scouse youngster instead of a proper permenent player I'm a miserable shit.

Nice to see you have priorities right

It was publicised earlier this week that we were looking at a Premier League season long loan and a last permanent signing before Friday. One down, one to go. The squad strengthening continues.

I don't understand the negativity.

Pope

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?

(Oddball, 'Kelly's heroes', for those of you too young to remember)

Do I have to automatically masturbate over every signing?

Why aren't I allowed to say I would rather have had player A B or C than player Z?

Might be a Mooey. But we will be very lucky if he is. This must be about 5th choice.

And where is the Assombalonga money going?

Cos you won't tell us who A, B or C are??????

Yes. I don't feel the need to comment on every post unlike yourself.

I got to the first whinging fanny post on the thread and shock horror it was you.

I don't understand the negativity.

Only me of course.

But the negativity is because we've been waiting all summer to solve the single biggest problem in our entire team.

And the solution now turns out to be a cheap kid loan from Everton, a kid who has barely played senior football.

We began the week talking about McDonald.

Now all forest fans on the forums do a quick doublethink, pretend that never happened and praise this lad as the answer to all our problems.

Absolutely I would rather develop our own youngster's. If Cash hasn't been unlucky I'd rather see us go with him

Just criticising other fans who do talk about football for their views.

So much easier to criticise what others say than to have an original thought of your own isn't it?

Osborn, cash and clough have one u20 cap between them as far as I can see. This lad has 16. Scoring preseason for Everton and their fans saying it should have been a loan to a prem team.

I agree with pope we need to strengthen further with an experienced midfielder but signing dowell is positive for me.

I don't. This lad could be a real talent from what I've read.

But no one is saying that this loanee is the answer to our biggest problem area. Just that he is a promising addition highly rated by his clubs fans. I would imagine most fans who recognise the problem area is dcm are still hoping we sign McDonald or similar type player.

So pope, which signing have u not moaned about??
You don't want us to sign Macdonald has he will cost us too much money, now we get a young lad for a season you still moan, we not paying the earth, he's got a great left foot and no one is saying he'll be awesome, it's just a nice change to be signing players who have something to prove instead of most of the crap we signed last summer!!

You use cheap as a pejorative term. I've no issue with cutting our cloth by taking players on loan or seeking free signings myself. I've never suggested we should be shelling out huge frees.

That said, there is still time for another permanent signing and with plenty of time for more business to be concluded, I see no reason to panic.

That's not double-speak. It's taking what may well prove to be a very astute signing on its merits.
