Kevin decamps

From a chat I had with some County fans yesterday they may have joined in with our chanting of Your Getting Sacked etc etc.

Not the biggest surprise known to man..... Lost the dressing room, lost the fans - it's amazing he lasted as long as he did!

Anyone got any thoughts who the replacement is likely to be?

Don't be surprised if Chettle gets it.

At 2-1 down yesterday I noticed how long the County players were taking at throw-ins and free-kicks. No sense of urgency to get back in the game and felt like a deliberate "sod you" to the manager.

In normal circumstances, losing after having to substitute two defenders in the first half, while playing away at a top of the league side, shouldn't be an indication of whether the manager was any good or not, but in the modern world of football expectations nothing surprises me any more.

During his post match interview yesterday I got the impression he had run out of ideas. It will be interesting to see how results improve whoever takes over after this.

I think it is more that they have gone from being that top of the table team. Beating everyone. To the bottom of the table team losing to everyone.
Gradual decline over at least 6 months maybe longer. Also he took over 18 months ago when they were bottom.... so where are the signs of improvement

Chettle recently employed there.

With the amount of money spent close season he was always likely to be under real pressure with a poor start but I don't think anyone at county envisaged a start this bad amazing that only 5 games into the season and three managers have already gone!!!

I'm going to swim against the tide here and say I thought he deserved longer.

Well if you back him to the tune of half a million quid you ‘should’ give him more than 5 matches. But remember Hardy is one of these Chairman that is in it for the notoriety and kudos - as soon as he gets a bit of grief he’s going to do something to get the instant gratification back again.
