Watching Sky News this morning with Kay Burley live from Beech Hill and she visited the DW and she again said this is the stadium of Wigan Warriors although they do allow Wigan Athletic to play here as well!!The woman is a one woman propaganda machine for them!!
 
At least she is interested in Wigan and not just pretending like Lisa Nandy. I turned that off this morning as it was toe curling embarrassment. Filmed a woman in the food bank that was at least 20 stone ?????... Jesus, she weren't going short.
 
Surprised Brannigan doesn’t request she makes an on air correction tomorrow if that is what she said. No mention of the Bahrain investment then in the club then, just doom and gloom I guess running down the town.
 
She's not worth fretting over. We all know the reality of the situation and so does she. If she wants to let that bitterness eat her up let her. She's a tabloid journalist, with a less than passing acquaintance with truth.
 
I gave it another try and managed 25 minutes this time. It's like a Labour Party love in and totally biased bullshit. We are being portrayed as illiterate clowns. They took the cameras into an elderly couples shithole...garbage everywhere ( how much does it cost to tidy up ) . They can't afford to eat but his fingers are nicotine stained so he can afford to smoke though...doesn't help and you'd think someone would have suggested not having a fag in your hand when you're pleading poverty.

I'm out again...its making us a laughing stock.
 
Problem is with an economic crisis - people dont know how to budget and expect to continue with our luxuries. We have all been living with incredibly low interest rates and general cost of living since bank crisis. People cant even be bothered to go to supermarket and would rather pay extra to get shopping delivered, fast food deliveries are through roof as population becomes more obese. Might have to turn our back gardens into allotments again soon !!

Low cost of living since the banking crisis??? Any "cost of living" pay increase that I've had has been below inflation now for the best part of 15 years & that applies to most people so we have in fact been seeing our cost of living increasing through all that time - what's happening now has merely accelerated that with sudden huge jumps in the cost of some things which are having a knock on effect on the cost of other things & when wages haven't kept up with inflation during all that time it's like the icing on the cake

I should also point out that being in poverty isn't simply about not having enough money to feed your family & pay for utilities - that's destitution & deprivation
Whilst there's no one definition of being in poverty, it's generally accepted that it's about not having enough money to maintain what is considered a basic standard of living (& this includes some "luxuries") &/or earning below 60% of the average national income

kay burley was brought up by a strong socialist father, Frank Mcgurran, he was a passionate union man and all round decent bloke, some of it must have rubbed off on her. Having said that Burley went through her school career with my sister(3 years younger than me) who claims she wasn't a very pleasant person and not particularly well liked.

You don't suddenly stop being an addict because you are poor.

On top of that it's little wonder that it is a Labour love in, 12 years of tory rule has caused this massive upsurge in poverty not Labour, the gap between haves and have nots has grown at unprecedented speed during that time and gets worse day by day. Tories always blamed poverty on the scroungers, lazy, feckless and wastrels, times have changed now its ordinary hard working people that have been dragged into that trap and this corrupt regime have no plans to change any of it.

I wonder if a lot of the former Labour voters who voted Tory at the last election are now ruing that decision?

They looked like a right pair of disgusting buggers living upto their necks in accumulated shite...if he's an smoking addict he's obviously chosen that over eating then....which they haven't BTW as she said they go to the chippy and pie shop. I like beans on toast and it can be made for about 30p.....my mother in law used to say if any pensioner hasn't enough money to eat they are wasting it on summat else. She was right.
 
Benefits should be payed in tokens. Not cash. That’s a lot of the problem same with the council tax rebate. That should have been knocked off the bill not given in cash.
