Kalvin phillips

I'll give Phillips his due that he's been a very good club player this past three seasons. He's thrived under Bielsa playing just in front of the CBs.

Slow Garreff's no Bielsa though and England don't play with the same pace, shape or intensity as Leeds. And even then it's questionable whether Phillips is seasoned enough for international football.

His fellow kneelers Mings, James, Rice, Sterling, Kane and St Marcus all played worse.

A penny for Fikayo Tomori's thoughts as he watches Mings play with all the assuredness of an anxiety dream.

From a corner I think it was Sterling who dinked a pass to an unmarked Mings in the penalty box with his back to goal, Mings tried to control it and it bounced about 5 yards off him. Just appalling. 🤦‍♂️

Ward-Prowse must be wondering how he can't get in this squad either. England's best dead ball specialist.

Itv commentator called him the Yorkshire Pirlo. I recall Jimmy Saville being called something similar
