Juventus v Real Madrid CL Final

[Skoorb]

Things didn't start well as UEFA try to emulate the Super Bowl with some awful pre-match "entertainment" involving Will i Am.....

But they have livened up

Currently 1-1

Tonaldo putting RM ahead and then Mandzucic scoring an absolutely wonderful equaliser. From the high pass out by one of their CB's into the penalty area, the volleyed cross, Higuain's chest down and pass to Mandzucic who controlled the ball and bicycle kicked it over Kaylor Navas into the net the ball didn't touch the floor once :001: :005:

[Skoorb]

I was wrong

Ramos was booked in the 31st minute. I had predicted the 28th :060:

[Skoorb]

HT 1-1

Mandzucic' goal is the goal of the season for me. Outsanding stuff :005:

[Skoorb]

63 mins

Another deflection defeats Buffon and RM lead 1-2

[Skoorb]

1-3

Theee minutes and six seconds after they take the lead, RM extend it with Ronaldo's second goal. Wonderful overlap and cross from Modric finds Ronaldo the only one gambling he would keep the ball in and reaping his reward.

Long way back for Juve now

[Skoorb]

84 mins

Juve down to ten men as Cuadrado, on as a sub, picks up a second yellow after Ramos makes a mealof some slight contact. The dark arts in full flow

[Skoorb]

1-4

Ascensio makes it 4 with his first touch

Juve, who had such a watertight defence cannot shut out RM's quality. Unfortunate for Buffon who misses out on a CL winners medal again.

RM will retain the Champions League trophy, the first club to do so in nearly 30 years

[Skoorb]

FT

1-4

RM are crowned European champions for the 12th time :001:

[Buzz Lightyear]

I thought the ref was OK, but Juve unlucky with a couple of deflections but overall Real deserved the win

[johnkelv]

Watched the highlights, RM fully deserved their win. Maybe us next year, fingers crossed.

Ramos is a real, no pun intended, piece of work, isn't he!
