Justin Welby 'learned to be ashamed again' of the Church

In general I agree, I do really feel for Welby though in his choice of words given the previous erm...not me attitude of others so to speak when confronted with the history.

It's been common knowledge for decades, and nothing was done about it. I am very close to Chichester, and people down here are very angry.

Welby was in charge. He had opportunities to be strong on this, and he wasn't, as far as I can see.

I've only ever heard 'good comments' from him, like today, previously myself. Again, compared to some others who tried to dodge, hid behind dogma etc to shift blame.

I realise 'good comments' on this topic are an oxymoron but you know what I mean.

Isn't that what happened in the CoE, though? Even Welby's predecessor was accused of it.

Maybe he is a good guy, but the organisation he affiliates himself with has a long way to go.

No agree, but I've only ever seen him front up to the problems since I was aware of him so I count him as different.

I never said this, and I will deny it til the day I die, but maybe you are right.

Which reminds me, are we getting the random quotes back, or have they gone forever?

Now you can't deny it! lol

It's my impression at least seeing plenty of others try and sidestep the questions, or provide context etc etc and shift blame - he holds his hands up so to speak which for me counts.

Randon quotes - honestly don't know at this point chap. I'm guessing JF would've backed up - and/or - old forum is live somewhere where they can be scalped but depends if this software has a plug in option for them or whether one could be custom created to serve the same purpose.
