Rep. Ireland U-21 v Iceland U-21
Kayode on subs bench.
(Looks like Sky have the match broadcasting rights)

Update 1 : HT 0-1

Update 2 : Ireland U-21 have equalised. Kayode must be on now for his U-21 international debut, because some Twitter reports are saying he has scored, but it could be an own goal.

Update 3 : Just seen a replay. Definitely a Kayode (no 13) shot - but did it take a deflection and if so , off who?
Commentator saying "own goal" now.
It was a spinning low flick ,and even after seeing the replay several times, it is not very clear who , if anybody, had the final touch.

Update 4 : Iceland U-21 scored the winner in injury time!
FT 1-2

Update 1 : 35 mins - Kayode has just scored with a header to put Rep. Ireland one-up (y)

Update 2: HT still 0-1

Update 3: 65 mins - 0-2 now (Lennon)

Update 4: 1-2 now (conceded late goal again!)

Update 5 : FT 1-2 . Despite the win, Rep. Ireland U-21 fail to qualify for the next stage. They should have picked Kayode to start in the previous games!

Additional information...
Kayode was substitutued after 76 mins (hopefully just for tactical reasons , as Rep. Ireland were trying to hold on to their lead). Also - Luxembourg had a player sent off in injury time.

Kayode getting good reports in the Irish press today.
Still can't find any video clips of the match goals though :(

Local press in Carlisle are assuming that he is ok to play on Saturday.

Switzerland U-21 2-0 Rep. Ireland U-21 (Friendly)

Joshua Kayode started the game and was subbed after 54 mins (tactical) . Wasn't booked. The Swiss U-21 team is usually quite good and would have been favourites to win.

Australia U-23 v Rep. Ireland U-21 (1200 k.o.)

Joshua Kayode is on the bench today.

HT 0-0

Kayode came on as sub early in the second half (shirt number 19 in this friendly tournament). Rep. Ireland took the lead as a good cross to Kayode, who was well-positioned at the far post, was blocked, but turned into his own net by an Aussie defender. Australia then soon equalised. In the last few minutes a near-post cross aimed at Kayode was overhit, but reached Tierney , who headed in the winner. (That goal probably wouldn't have happened for the Millers, because usually nobody runs in behind the main striker).

FT 1-2. (No bookings)
(Goals on FAIreland Twitter)

Next fixture scheduled for 5th June

Good luck to Joshua Kayode, who is in the Irish starting line-up .

Match is live on YouTube now!

The Irish midfielders are sitting fairly deep and narrow, so not much supply to Kayode. He has won a few in the air though.

Denmark deservedly ahead at half time. Ireland still sitting too deep, not threatening much down the wings either. Kayode is being left quite isolated, though trying hard to make an impact.
HT 0-1

Kayode subbed 75 mins. Replaced by Grant (tactical). Even the commentators were saying that he was getting very little supply of the ball. He looked like he could have played out the full game if needed.
Denmark were clearly the better team overall though and probably should have won by a bigger margin.

FT 0-1
