Jonah's Really REALLY Interesting Thread

Eldest son in a worried mood. 13 redundancies coming where he works which is a third of the workforce.

He is a software developer for a company whose specialist area is hospitality, leisure and sports.

I personally don't think he will be one of them. He is too good at what he does, very diligent and hard working.

However, you just don't know. He would get a decent redundancy package but that's not the point

Currently trying to secure a new broadband deal. It's a bloody nightmare. Apparently BT lock you in for up to 3 years on a new build estate, so even though my contract with them has ended, it's not letting me switch to anyone else.

So trying to contact BT to negotiate a renewal price. Online not working, so trying to call and been on hold for 20 minutes.

:(

Good luck mate. I'm currently with BT and can't wait until my contract ends in November. They are the biggest shysters I have ever dealt with.

Could this be the end of the heartbreak after all this time?

German police say they believe Madeleine McCann was murdered by a German citizen who was living on the Algarve at the time of her disappearance. He's in prison for an unrelated offence. They're appealing for information from holiday makers who were there in April and May 2007

And more;

I hope so for all their sakes! They made a decision. One they will regret for the rest of their lives.

The other families with them did the same. Majority of families before them did the same. It was a common practice.

I am not excusing them. As a mom who has been through the ringer of the system of this country I know whats its like to be put in the spotlight, expectations beyond, moving of the goalposts, dissected and everything you do scrutinised.

That was bad enough. In the headlights of the media even bloody worse. People also forget they have twins.

Twins people forget have grown up and now know about this vilification of their parents.

I hope for all their sakes it is, and we can finally shut those up who believe they played some part in it, which they didn't

Yet those without sin as they say ..... No perfect parent out their. Fortunately for the majority of us we don't get ripped apart in the media

I had a visitor to my house he had hand sanitiser and put on a mask.

Nothing to do with COVID, it is just what floated his boat.

:wack:

DFS... apparently my sofas are supposed to look this worn after six months. Meh, fair enough.

In other news, managed to finish the wallpapering in my gym today, it was last done a few months back, ran out of paper (needed one strip, would you adam and eve it) and for obvious reasons, couldn't go out and buy more.

Just out of interest, the guy who owns DFS lives not far from me. His house is a bit different to mine though.

That action on your guitar looks a bit high mate.

I converted my Boardman Hybrid bike to an ebike just over a week ago. I now can't stop riding it. I actually giggle as I go along.

Going to do a 25 mile ride to Lewes today.

If anyone s thinking of getting one, and is wavering, stop. Just go get it.
