John Terry

Spursex

Alert Team
I know what he is and how many feel about him here.

But what a career and what a commitment to one club, I wonder if we'll ever see that sort of commitment to a club in the PL again?

whatever else he is, he is to be congratulated.

And I know that sentiment won't be popular here !

Fair do's he was a top CB , how much would he be worth if he was 25 ?

Given that they paid £50 mill for a CB just a season ago, I'd warrant he'd be going for alot more than that.

Good career but a massive prick. He had no reason to move as abramovich gave him everything he wanted to achieve at the chavs.

He won a whack of trophies. He stayed while a whack of players and managers came in and out.

That pretty much says it all.

Spursex ..people should ask themselves this question before answering this thread.....What if he was a spurs player?

We'd have loved him and overlooked everything.

The moral high ground amongst football supporters is only taken against opposition players.

Tbf, I never rated him too much technically, but the way he could lead by example and galvanise a side is what made him as good as he was.

He's more like a much better Michael Dawson, than any kind of comparison with Ledley, IMO.... But then I've been a career attacker and can write the amount I know about defending on a post it note

We noticed... :10: :19:

If we are going to admire a player for loyalty and longevity, I personally have much more respect for another one-club man, Steven Gerrard. Just as good, just as loyal, but a much better man, a real role model and a much better captain in my book.

Talk about lacking class...

How can the rules allow that?..... even 'a set time' applauding for a remembrance doesn't stop the game...

I hope they are checking that none of his family placed a bet that he would be subbed in the 26th minute ....insider knowledge/information!

He was stripped of the England captaincy for racial abuse . Had an affair with a team mates girlfriend, apparently has been unfaithful many times to his wife. Attacked a doorman at a night club, pissed in a glass at a nightclub and so on. An unsavoury individual.

I'm sorry but if he'd played for us, as Freundorfoe has said, I'd still think he was an awful guy. What price being on a winning team when your behaviour is just nasty, cheating and egotistical? I would want rid of him.

He has incited all sorts of bad behaviour, pulled stunts and fouling in the box etc and got away with all sorts of bad play.

His attitude stinks. Who turns up in a team photo in a cup final after the team has won it when you never played in the game? The guys arrogant beyond.

A top club should be respected. I have little faith respect for Chelsea, especially when their bad behaviour is endorsed by refs, well at least not punished.

Cahill's heading down the same path, the injury to Ryan Mason was amazingly ignored by the FA.

I want Suarez at Spurs. With our defensive unit he would run rampant and we would win a title.

IT will never happen.
