If big John is as good as Danny says he is why is he substituted second half in the majority of games played?

Jeez, are you another jumping on the minority anti Akindi bandwagon?. The geezer put in a very good shift and managed to get most of the home crowd giving him a standing ovation. Give it a break its friggin boring now.

The point is, Akinde does a great job for the team, but not everyone appreciates that point of view, including your goodself.

Really this again.....

As a lone striker he is working his arse off on his own for 70/80 minutes. Fresh legs at that time of the match is essential hence the substitutions.

Happens at all clubs who operate with one up top
May be that is because of the game plan, for a starter,

Oh, yes we was down to 10.

Don't feed the troll.

Considering we looked far more dangerous than the team with 11 after the break, and then we struggled to hold the ball up top after Akinde went off then I am bamboozled at this question!!!

Picked the wrong game to criticise Akinde IMO. He was a revelation during his 29? minutes of the second half and was probably knackered........as virtually all lone strikers are whether they are playing with a full team or a man down.

Whatever team you support or watch in any division it is nearly always the strikers that are substitued (winning, losing or drawing) because they are the ones that a doing most of the pressing, chasing and harrying as well as taking a lot of the physical contact from battling defenders.

We could equally have asked why any defender (pre Cowley) that wasn't that good was always left on for the full 90!!
