Joey Barton

As a teacher, I've learnt many things from people who taught me.

Some through observing really good practice.

And some through observing how not to teach...

Which category would Joey fit?

Come on you Imps!!!!!!©

What do people expect him to say?

A newly promoted team have just run rings around us, all you fans paying money hoping to see a play off season don’t bother because we’re going to be midtable because we can’t compete with the promoted clubs, let alone relegated and other big clubs.

We’ve spent 3 years listening to DC giving half truths and his version of events, that’s all Barton is doing.

Probably, if he believes it then he’s seeing something not many others are seeing.

We played well between the two boxes against MK Dons but were not good enough in either box was DC’s verdict just over a week ago. In pre season he said we would be relegated if we played like we did against Scunthorpe. DC rarely dresses up a defeat.

His smoke and mirrors are usually reserved for transfer dealings or injuries when the truth may give information to other clubs or agents which will put the club at a disadvantage.

Whether Joey Barton really believes they “battered us” or not who knows...

... but if that’s the worst battering we get all season, we will all be smiling come May.

What lesson would be that Joey. The one where you kept the ball for 25 mins and your team did the square root of zero with it whilst our players simply stuck to their shape with discipline and completely snuffed you out. Or would it be the one that having conceded two goals your team looked liked rabbits in the headlights and had no clue what to do after going behind. Face it England international you've just been owned on the pitch and off the pitch by a couple of school teachers......again.

I'd not expect him to say they'd battered us when they clearly didn't!

DC would have given an honest assessment - i.e. lots of possession but not good enough with it.

They got to the edge of the area and passed it sideways time after time, scared to shoot imho, barely had a effort despite having 60 odd percent possession.
Vickers had one proper save to make from the free kick.
