I can remember. I was 8 and at home in Brackleys way, Solihull. It was a Friday night and Take Your Pick (a popular game show of the era, hosted by Michael Miles don't y'know), was on TV. They interrupted it for a news flash to say he had been shot and about 30 minutes later they had another one to say he was dead.
