Jermaine Jenas sacked by BBC

The people I'm talking about 100% consider themselves true believers and that everyone is a sinner.

Ideologies and theologies are like guns. On their own they commit no crimes until yielded by weak people with bad intentions.

But they don't half allow those bad intentioned people to do a lot more damage than they would have been able to without them
That's religious nut cases.

Suicide bombers and kiddie fiddlers and everything in-between.

The vast majority of religious peoples don't go there.

Anyways, if it turns out it was him chasing some younger skirt, ok forget religion, how about morals?

He'll bounce back it's not like he beat up Ulrika Jonson and threw her down a flight of stairs and showed friends and colleagues photos of her sucking his cock like another ex Forest player who still finds work.
Ive just googled it and no such pics exist.

Fake news mother fukka.

A SEX video at the centre of a legal row between TV presenter Ulrika Jonsson and her ex-lover Stan Collymore has been destroyed, a High Court judge was told yesterday. The former soccer star consented to continuation of an injunction, granted to Miss Jonsson last Wednesday, banning him from publishing to others any video footage or still photographs showing her naked or engaging in any kind of sexual activity.

The original injunction, to stop breach of confidence, was obtained following reports that Mr Colly-more had been offering a sex video of her for sale.

Miss Jonsson's counsel, Richard

Parkes, told Mr Justice Eady yesterday that, according to Mr Collymore, the film had been destroyed.

Mr Collymore agreed to file evidence to that effect by 4pm today.

His solicitor advocate, David Price, said, "He denies that he is under any liability or that this relief (the injunction) is appropriate, but he is not interested in contesting the matter and agrees to the injunction continuing."

The video is said to have been made when the couple were on holiday in Jamaica.

Ms Jonsson describes Mr Collymore as a "monster" in her recent autobiography, Honest.

I wasn't making light of the allegation.

I know Stan has his demons, I remember the paper next day showing Ulrika with a fat lip.

I'm just pointing out no trace pics exist on Google,of said video

It's not religious nut cases. It's just people.

People will find any justification for the things they do. If it's not religion then it's communism. Or MAGA. Or patriotism. Or any number of ideologies they use to justify their actions.

Being involved in the church myself, my experience is that people who do believe in god tend to have a mellower disposition towards their fellow person. They tend to be kinder and more considerate.
Of course there are exceptions to the rule, zealots like jehovahs witnesses who forbid blood transfusions for instance. There are also those that fly under the banner of Christianity who use it to advance their own personal agendas.

Such zealots are NOT representative of Christian’s on the whole. Going back to the matter in hand, I don’t believe Jermaine is a bad person, he just made an error of judgment. There are far more worse things going on than a few off colour remarks made privately between two consenting adults. People posting on social media encouraging self harm and suicide being an obvious example.

Jermaine himself had some kind of "god complex" with first instinct to deny and protect himself

And second instinct (when that clearly wasn't going to work) to "take the coin" selling his profound apologies exclusively to The Sun for an absolute fortune no doubt

Hopefully everyone he's upset do read the Sun so they can get their apologies

This is the world we live in

The problem is that religion can and does get used to add firepower to people's existing social prejudices.

I have known many Christians who are exceptionally cruel people. Blunt, matter of fact- certain that their prejudices are justified because of a sentence in a Jewish oral history from 3000 years ago.

I have known Muslims who are horrifically prejudiced and are so certain they are right that they are outraged that you dare to question it, to the point of confrontation.

LGBT is a case in point. Otherwise warm, friendly Christians and Muslims can be horrendously prejudiced against those who are LGBT. Despite the bible very, very clearly saying "don't judge other people, leave that to god to sort out when you are all dead", they ignore that completely in favour of a couple of lines from the Jewish oral history; a couple of lines amongst a whole host of prohibitions that they choose to completely ignore, but prejudice against gays is apparently one they pick and choose to enforce.

It would be one thing if they avoided shellfish, pork and clothing of more than one kind of thread as well as all the other rules alongside believing that being gay was prohibited. But the fact that they don't just demonstrates that people pick and choose from the holy texts to reinforce the prejudices they want to have, not the ones religion gives them. People use religion to bully others, just as they may use MAGA or communism or QAnon or unionism.

I have known many Christians and Muslims (by far the majority of those I have known to be fair, especially in the latter case) who are genuinely lovely people; who genuinely want to help anyone. But that is because of who they are, not their faith. Their religion gives a framework for that, but they wouldn't be worse people if they didn't have that framework.

Can’t disagree with that. I have a friend who is a non believer and she wouldn’t hurt a fly - literally.
I guess in many ways there’s a connection between religious faiths and football fans, in that there is good and bad in fan bases as well as within religions. Being a believer doesn’t prevent you from being a bad person.
You could say the same about alcohol. Some people turn nasty when they’ve had too much to drink. Others fall asleep. As Martin Luther king once said, I look to a time where a person is judged not by the colour of their skin but by the content of their character. No colour, sex or creed has a monopoly on good or bad.
