So, I notice you guys have kept a suspiciously low profile on this story, all of you who think Mr Clarkson should be Prime Minister - which is at least 90% of people on this forum who cream themselves every time he appears on our screens. I'm particularly disappointed in Sekggy, who is usually the first to kick a man when he's down.

You know, that's how I learned that rhyme as a kid too. It's just not thinking and typically being blown out of all proportion.
 
I've said that rhyme, I also use the terms "Wassup Nigga" and "Nigga please" when talking to friends of mine who are black, I'm positive that they do not think me racist, neither did my ex partner who was also black.

The offence should be in the way it is used, to accuse someone of racism because of a much recited childhood rhyme is in my opinion nonsense.

It's nonsense. He didn't even say ******. He mumbled over it because he wasn't sure what to say and then had to do it again with teacher in its place.
 
Pleased by the responses I've read. Avoided posting as thought the political correctness brigade would go into overdrive. If he was racist, then sack him, but saying a rhyme isn't.
I would sack him for his clothes sense and curly style- less hair however.
 
Hold on aren't most on here branding UKIP vile for comments about Lenny Henry? But when this twat off an over grown public school boy uses the n word it's all ok!

Clarkson should be sacked immediately .
 
I find some on here laughable. They are doing the truffle shuffle with snot running from their noses because some branches of Subway are selling Halal meat. They stamp their feet like a spoilt toddler because a Muslim wants to pray on Friday in Dudley. They nod in agreement because an over opinated public school boy has said a vile out of date nursery rhyme. But if a prospective councillor for a political party suggests that if Lenny Henry wants to see more black faces on TV he should move to a country where the population is mainly Black they are horrified and brand the man his party and his supporters vile racists!

It's the old I can call my wife fat but you better not scenario
