They earn all that money and they will all have an accountant, it just seems daft that many of them regard paying tax as the last thin g they should do.
 
I suppose tax at 50% of earnings being skimmed off seems a lot. But on that kind of money it isn't like he'll ever have to work again is it ? Even if he wanted to work after his career he'd walk straight into a TV deal as a pundit on £2 million a year.

Trick is, most of them don't actually pay 50 percent tax anyhow - most of the highest paid footballers register themselves as "corporations", so that their wages, sponsorships and image rights are all paid to a company, which then pays them. That way they get away with paying 22.5 percent tax
