The one thing going against Toffs is he style is more a Trent Alexander Arnold wingback role than a LB- although he has improved, defending is not his strongest point (tenacity and fearlessness are though) and joining a team which doesn't have the ability, skill or players to get the best out of Toffs then he will risk having to play a LB role rather than a wingback role.
Quality always sees through but, from the PL down, teams are littered with players who managers didn't get the best out of because the team style, formation, etc weren't in sync with the player.
HTFC forums keep stating they are desperate for a LB which I don't think matches with Toffs.
Think of team players over last 10 years who have moved on but not progressed -Waterfall, Raggett. I can only think of Alan Power as a permanent player who has excelled in the team he moved to - someone better than me will say otherwise which is fine. Possibly Nolan but wouldn't use Nolan and excelled in the same sentence.
Hope Toffs bucks the trend.
