January Transfer Window

It’s not Nelson Oliveira then. Rumour had it that we were interested in bringing our former loan player back, but Reading have stepped in and taken him from Norwich on a loan deal yesterday.

Chris Mepham, 21 year old, 6’4” centre-back, 43 appearances in the Championship for Brentford - sold to Bournemouth for 12 million.
Joe Rodon, 21 year old, 6’4” centre-back, 23 appearances in the Championship for Swansea - sold to?
A prized asset, can we keep him? Was it our good fortune that he was injured during this transfer window? Will the pressure be on this summer for our young stars as PL clubs hover waiting to pounce?

Potter has made it clear in the latest Press Conference yesterday that there will be no incomings without outgoings first. With only six days left of the transfer window time is getting short.
I hope the outgoings being considered do not include young Daniel James.
He is the Crown Jewels, and our future, and if he goes the repercussions will be huge.
The club will lose what little faith fans have left and it will be the final straw for many, in what has turned out to be a nightmare reign by the Yanks since they took over.

Can't say I'm overly bothered to have missed out on that one. I'm not sure how interested we were either.

Bony missing from the cup match yesterday, not even sub. Potter admitted he was left out due to transfer speculation and not wanting him injured.
That means he’s not playing on Tuesday either as the countdown begins to the last few days of the transfer window.

It’s D-Day of the transfer window and the final hours of another possible exodus.
Bony on loan to El-Arabi of Qatar.
James deal to Leeds on a knife edge.
Fer tight hamstring but Lille are calling.
Montero West Brom are hovering.
Incomings - blank
Swans fans will be glad when this is all over, it’s not fun anymore.

If James is missing from training today we are sunk.
Rumour has it James is keen to move and go to a club with some ambition.
A £5mill fee has been mooted, but surely this amount is a joke and is peanuts to Swansea in the grand scheme of things.
The owners credibility is on the line here, and if they are prepared to sell our young talent just to line their pockets then it will show once and for all that they have zero ambition for this club and it would go against everything they’ve said since they took over.
If so, we might as well all just pack up and go home and leave the vultures to pick the bones of what is left.

Bony gone to Al-Arabi
James gone Leeds
Fer gone to Villa
Montero gone to WBA
Our play-off place down the pan
The rest of the players and the kitchen sink in the summer as the venture capitalist owners systematically dismantle our club to recover their outlay plus a fat profit, then dump us when there’s nothing left to sell.

What a shambles:
James to Leeds - off last minute
Fer to Villa - ran out of time
Carroll to Villa - done
Montero to WBA - done
Bony to Al-Arabi - done

It seems as if the whole team was up for sale yesterday in yet another desperate attempt to offload players.
Carroll not even mentioned in the cull, suddenly he’s gone to Villa.
Fer gone to Villa, then he wasn’t, so they took Carroll instead.
James medical done at Leeds, waiting to sign, then Swans pulled out minutes before the deadline.
Montero, who made two of the goals on Tuesday, gone to WBA.
Bony gone to Al-Arabi, Qatar.
From being one of the best run teams in the Premier League we have become the laughing stock since the Yankee hedge funders took over and got us relegated with their gross mismanagement of the club.
The fans want them gone, as well as the dirty sell-outs who started our demise, even if we have to start again in League 2.
