January Transfer Window

It’s been reported that Jamie Paterson came back for training on Wednesday after illness and said he was not in the right frame of mind to play against Huddersfield. Martin said he was still feeling the effects of the illness, but apparently he’s not happy with his new contract terms. This after the clubs early triggering of his contract extension for another year on Jan 9th. At least two other Championship clubs are after him and it’s fairly obvious that he’s been tapped up.
Dilemma for Swansea, pay him more or let him go.

If some websites are to be believed, Ryan Bennett is on three times the salary of Jamie Paterson and 30% more than the next highest player Kyle Naughton.

Yes, you’re right Grimes did sign an improved contract recently and maybe this is Paterson’s gripe, that he deserved more. He’s gone about it the wrong way though, refusing to play.
We do not know the full story on this yet though.

Latest rumours -
Man City’s 18 year-old centre-back Finley Burns in on loan
Bristol City’s 31 year-old striker Nakhi Wells in on loan
Brandon Cooper to Swindon on loan
Yan Dhanda to Burton Albion or Crewe
Jamie Paterson two bids from QPR rejected

Wells coming in doesn't sound all that exciting at all. Kinda hope that one doesn't happen.

Cooper completes loan to Swindon and we need Dhanda and Fulton out the door.

I think Fulton’s Swansea wages haven’t been matched by interested clubs, that’s why he hasn’t left, so he’s happy to sit on his long contract.

The Hull defeat has confirmed that we are in relegation form with two wins and five defeats in the last ten matches, scoring only eight goals.
Formation and tactics that are unworkable with the players we’ve got have resulted in having a team with a defence like a sieve after leaving our flanks exposed time after time and a front line that are unable to convert chances into goals.
Luckily there are teams below us with points deducted or we’d be in the relegation mix.
The response from the club has been to dump nine players, either out on loan or free transfers, and to bring in three loanees and a goalkeeper who sits on the subs bench. Of the loanees, two have had very little game time this season at their clubs and the other is an 18 year old fledgling from Man City’s U-23’s with zero first team experience.
With just over 12 hours left in the transfer window and no money to spend what will we do?
