January 2026 Transfer thread

Plummer's posts on football were one long love letter to the late 80s- 90s basically. Anything short of what he experienced in his yoof wasn't good enough.

His favourite players were the shit ones who passed around a bit but didn't do anything, and his favourite managers were the ones who passed around the back a lot and lost every week.

On politics he seemed to think that every Brit should be strung up for slavery 300 years ago

He was very "forceful" in the argument, crossed the line sometimes. Fair to say he and I sparred on many an occasion but had a healthy respect (or at least, I did).

He then said something he shouldn't have to someone he shouldn't have (I can't remember either, just that it wasn't me). He got a temporary ban because he wouldn't apologise, and vowed never to come on the forum again. He did hang around though and I had a PM exchange with him about why he was being so stubborn when he clearly wanted to post again

He went to LTLF, had a tonne of arguments there, then his "partner", who by coincidence had exactly his style of posting and syntax, went on there saying that he had died

Rob1 was an absolute nob, who got banned from the CG for something awful and genuinely seemed to hate this club more than any Derby fan ever could. Still pretends he wants to fight people (from Cornwall) on social media. Absolute nob and I seriously doubt there are many mornings where he remembers the shit he said or did the night before.

Old/Young Jom was something else entirely

Dafuq was just a nasty piece of work with a temper problem and a fake BBC ID
I love that you still follow Rob1 on social media!

Plummer did do the threads with the post-match views from whatever the opposition teams Forum was... they were always worth a read!

This thread is now morphing into something like those retrospectives on terrace hooligans in the 1970s and 1980s, only with keyboard warriors and their usernames instead of top lads and their hooli names.

Mao, Wolfie I think we are a few if the " old" group. I remember when I used to meet with a couple if you at L& V before the game after driving from Scotland...those were the days..
