One of the world's most famous murder mysteries has been 'solved' according to Russell Edwards, a self confessed armchair detective....

The police have known about this for years. The curator of the Black Museum in Scotland Yard explains the whole (relatively boring) case. Basic police work identified Kozminski and he was interviewed in the asylum. I asked the curator why this is not universally known and he said, it's no real secret, but to expose the truth will massively impact a whole Ripper industry. Loads of people are clinging to the hope that it was heavily linked to the Royals or the government or space aliens...so they don't really make a point of telling anyone...

If you get a chance to go to the Black Museum (it's not easy mind), give it a go...it is awesome...

It was his son that was suspected of the murders. He died of influenza during the epidemic of 1891-92 :14:
 
I saw a documentary on Broadmoor earlier this year which claimed Thomas Hayne Cutbush was the ripper.

I haven't read the article so may be explained, but I get how the scarf can have the victims and killers DNA, but why have they got DNA to cross reference it to and hence pin it on Kosminski?
 
I've not read it either but reference DNA cross matching I'd imagine they used a known relative alive today.
