‘It’s been a poor league this year’

You don't finish top of the table after playing 46 games unless you are the best team in the League. We have only been headed on goal difference and by teams who had played more games than us, and then for only a few short weeks, all season. We have scored more points than the other 23, scored more goals than 22 of them and conceded less than 22 of them. For good measure we have also won more games, drawn more games and lost fewer games (with the exception of Mansfield who have also drawn 16).

It doesn't much matter what the state of the league may or may not be, the record books will always show 2018/19 League 2 Champions - Lincoln City.

Just to add to the above. We have been declared Champions and I don't think anyone else, in any of the top 5 leagues have even guaranteed promotion (I will accept Man City & Liverpool secure in a Champions League spot).

Just managing to defeat a 10 man Lincoln team then losing to Athletico Grimsby the next match just shows how 'poor' some teams are!

What's extraordinary about the Premier League title race is that you can count the genuinely bad performances by Liverpool and Man City this year on your fingers.

Sometimes fans at this level forget that L2 is a different thing entirely.
