It's all in the clues

This has been drop dripping for a long time.

The Constant prediction of failure.

The change of avatar to Private Fraser

The mentioning of my favourite Dad's Army episode being the test and particularly my mention of the closing scene and Godfrey...which leads me to say the following...

"Absolutely brilliant. I never doubted ye for a moment. I knew you could do it...''

PS I let others into this dupe.

We are talking jape of the Century. We are talking April, May, June, July fools.

To quote another sitcom.

My sole motivation. To generate clicks for the site and also to raise money for the club.

Plus it was an absolute delight to see how many positive thinking people there were. Yet today I was almost kicking my own backside to hell and back for being so near to a doomsday prediction.

What next? Will we win the playoffs? Who knows...but with this team anything is possible.

Enjoy the ride.

And

My true Dad's Army avatar will be Pte Godfrey. I am slow, confused, have a tendency for needing the loo often and I have a love for Upside Down Cakes....

Sorry for winding you all up....but...what the hell. I need to buy a marzipan hat now to eat. Sugar rush.

Who are you kidding? Do you really think we were born yesterday?

Nope, because if you were, then you will have mastered dexterity at an alarming rate. I have taken two other regular contributors into this, well before the game on Saturday. They know who they are and that's that.

The biggest clue was when I wrote in the play off thread "Did I ever tell you about the story of The Old Empty Barn" Someone, I forget who, replied .. "There was nothing in it." That went on...and is there to be seen. Cryptic....but I so love the works of Agatha Christie.?

Their identities will remain their's to reveal, should they wish to. I even involved them in what I was going to post today, when we achieved top 7. Sorry!!! We're all entitled to have a bit of fun now and again. I will, however eat the marzipan hat. As I am a man of my words. I even wrote a blog article for the Stacey West to really kick start it all.

My next blog article for Gary will highlight where it all began...The start of the wonderful journey, in its most strangest of beginnings. It's not what you think, but that is one step beyond this post for the time being.

In that case, what a very, very, very strange thing to do.

I don't think so. The intention was to raise clicks for the site. To raise money for the club. Since the change to the new site.....there weren't very many threads with a lot of posts...compared to the old site, or that's what I thought. So....I wanted to change it. Also if you say that something won't happen to the point of ridicule...it normally has the opposite effect......And also, I have broad enough shoulders to take that ridicule.

Reverse psychology. Someone taking a penalty maybe thinking "Don't miss. DON'T miss" The emphasis then becomes on the miss....and they are more likely to miss. Not my words, but those of a friend who deals in one to one sports psychology.

The most successful penalty takers are those of whom are thinking about where they are going to run to when they've scored. Miss and don't, are not even going through their minds.

It's a fascinating concept.

Steve Waugh used to say to himself at the crease "Watch the ball." Over and over again.

What are clicks and where do they raise money? Am i incurring charges by looking at this site that i dont know about??

No...every time this site is visited, it generates a click. The Admin team are rewarded through clicks, advert revenue and the like. The more clicks, the more revenue the Admin team get. That then goes straight to the club, through match day sponsorship. Player sponsorship and into the coffers of the club.

So essentially every time you visit this site, you make money that goes to LCFC.

No, Vital Football pays me to run the Site, not the admin team.

I will make this public, even though I wasn't going to: Last week, in order to pay for the Sponsorship of the Crewe Alexandra game, I loaned the website £520 (interest-free, of course) in order to settle the £1,440 payment.

I didn't think I would need to do this because I am due a payment from Vital Football, but this hasn't happened yet.

No, don't worry!

As we have recently attracted a good number of new members (all very welcome, of course), it is worth explaining this again.

Every click on the site raises an incremental amount of money - a very small one - which is paid by VitalFootball to the member website generating the click. That is all paid for from adverts - those irritating pop-ups for some of you - from partner advertisers.

That money is payable to the site owner, who in the case of Vital Lincoln City is Julian Burley. The money is his.

Being generous to a tee, Jules chooses to donate every penny to Lincoln City. Some of that goes on player sponsorships, some on match sponsorships and so on. Since he took over the site, Jules has donated over £10,000 of his own money to LCFC. Trust me when I say, that is a lot of money to Jules, as is the amount he has loaned to the site due to a delayed payment from VitalFootball. When the club was on its beam ends only a couple of years ago, it was vital income in more than one sense.

Would you do all of that? I don't think I would.

Having said that, this site is not all about clicks. Yes, clicks raise money, but we are also trying to create something of a higher standard than the usual fans forum. To that end, we include various exclusive features written by members in addition to the more common threads about the club - season tickets, match threads, transfers, player ratings and all the rest. We are very much interested in quality rather than just quantity.

Want to know what we are trying to avoid being? Try this online hell for starters:

Find that appealing in any way? Hence the reason why we issued a statement about bad language last week. We are proud of the standards we have achieved and see no reason to compromise.

Ah ok thanks for explaining that.
So is it best to write drivel that loads will feel obliged to disagree with ? ??
