It’ll go down to Yeovil at home

Mark my words. And it might be that we need to score a few more goals than we have of late.
Don’t see any points from cov or accy.
But I could be wrong...

The scenario proposed (referring to needing to score a lot of goals) here would see:

Lincoln lose to both Coventry and Accrington taking our goal difference to +13 at best.

Mansfield win at Yeovil taking them to +15 at worst.

We would then go into the last day of the season needing to better Mansfield's result or if we both win needing at least a +3 (maybe more) goal difference swing because they have more goals scored.

Ironically a draw on Tuesday might be the best result for both clubs involved, given Mansfield have only won two in the last ten and they would need to win both of their remaining fixtures to have have any chance of catching either club. A win for the Imps in my opinion would see the POs home and hosed.

Maybe we could send Coventry a DVD of the West Germany v Austria 1982 World cup match as a hint...;)

We'll be fine, get a point out of either Coventry or Accrington and beat Yeovil, but I don't think Mansfield will pick up 6 points anyway...one win from 3 will most probably do the trick

A DVD of Lincoln v Wycombe might also give a hint
Oh the irony
Accy away is looking a problem in that they may play with freedom that they should yesterday so GD may be effected
That said footballs a funny old game and we go up as 3rd

Lady Penelope was losing the plot a bit shortly after the game - apparently she was making some strange posts on Twitter which she then deleted. I get the feeling they have invested very heavily in this season specifically with the sole aim of getting promotion. Have they shot their financial bolt all in one go, I wonder? With the huge fine her other half received from the FCA, exactly how much will he be able to put in next season?

And it's all completely pointless. They're just buying success. I genuinely find it very odd that people choose to do this.

It's the same as if I signed up for, say, A PhD and then paid someone to write my thesis before declaring: "Look how clever I am, I am Dr NottyImp!". Pointless.

I get the feeling that Mansfield have bottled it and I don't think the
added pressure of statements from the Boardroom will help them.
.I think they will loose at Yeovil and we will get a point at Coventry.
Job done

Nice bit if prose from Carolyn; who's the ghost writer?

Evans said as much at the beginning of the season.

Evans said: “When we joined the chairman said the summer would be the time he’d make sure I got the support I got at the likes of Crawley, which was up there with the best budgets in the league, and Rotherham, which was not the best budget but certainly top six.

We need a top six budget or in reality there is no point in me staying. But the chairman is an honest man.”

Its not great example when the CEO who is on holiday, resorts to social media to kick the manager in the stones.
