It`s Illegal Now - How Times Have Changed

It's been illegal to promote this sort of subject within the UK since 1 July 2007 - how times have changed.

I'd be much happier if they saw this through to it's logical conclusion and banned all smoking in any public space (unless enclosed for just that purpose)...

Watching old films you can't help but notice how smoking was used as a prop in just about every romance scene, fight scene - in fact all through the films, no wonder it was thought to be cool to smoke!

It never used to bother me but when I visit places which haven't implemented smoking bans I notice how difficult it is to breathe. It's unpleasant and I'm very glad the law has changed here in hindsight.

The smoking ban was also a good way of determining how committed to smoking people are. Anyone who claims not be addicted to smoking but will gladly go out in the freezing winter / rain, abandoning the majority of their social group for a cigarette is probably lying to themselves.

What's really irritating to me now is having to suffer the gauntlet of running through the smoke blooms you get outside almost everywhere as you enter... :9:
