Is this the heavy price of doing too much drugs?

It's a real shame when somebody who has so much talent can become this who sees things through delusional eyes. Is he for real or what! Never had anytime for the druggie anyway but he just confirms what I already knew! A---hole!!

Nothing to do with the drugs. South American football is very much dirty tricks, so he thinks what they did is normal. He is however looking solely through South American eyes because diving is the norm there as seen by the multitude of rolls from side to side by the SA teams.

You could say we go over easily but then get up or at worst stay still holding the body part (or one we think we should hold) that was hurt.

South Americans go over even easier, roll over 4 times (despite their serious injury) etc, etc, etc.

It was meant a bit tongue in cheek tbf! I know what the South Americans are like. Pleased I don't have to watch that sort of theatrics week in week out! Doesn't take away my opinion of Maradona though :grinning:

Perhaps Mr Maradona would like to say whether he thought a yellow card to Barrios for a deliberate headbutt was another example of Mr Geiger favouring England? Or Columbian shenanigans making Kane wait almost five minutes to take the penalty? Or whether deliberately scuffing up the penalty spot out of view of the referee was fair play?

That incident came after 41 minutes, by the way. They would (should) have been down to ten men for the best part of an hour.

Very few people make me genuinely angry, but Maradona is one of them. That is a real shame, he was a great footballer.

Maradona's filmed reaction to Argentina's winner against Nigeria tells you all you need to know about this bloke.

For those of you who watch Game of Thrones there is a very pertinent quote from the character Bronn which fits here..................there's no cure for being a ****

The (upper) head butt? Please. Had that been the other way round then it would have been all about the fakery of the player pretending he was hurt. There were Liverpool fans embarrassed about Henderson's acting on their own forum.

In fact, I know that's the case because Henderson got caught out later putting his head into an opponent off the ball. It passed without a comment on England Fan TV of course.

So if you're wanting red cards, that would have evened it up in any case.

For all the Colombian antics let's not pretend this is all one way. Ali and Young are probably the biggest divers in the whole World Cup and last night alone both Maguire and Lingard tried to dive to win penalties.

Coming from Imps this is all really precious. What if, say, Falcao had done to Pickford what Matt Rhead did to the Shrewsbury keeper?

Got that article saved to read when I get a chance (along with many WC related ones!)

Love the word shithousery. And that's exactly what South American teams are. It's just what they're used to.

He will probably be prime minster one day.

We should send him round to Terry Butcher’s house for tea.

I think he was a crack pot before he was a crack head

South American oxygen thief

Was supporting Colombia, fair enough, and reckons Kane should have been booked for holding on to the full back! pot and kettle come to mind....

Just seems like the more you earn the bigger actor you are, although the latinos take it to a whole higher level. There are so many pathetic things that have crept into the game in the last few years, beyond those that were already there (& I include some things the Imps do in that I'm afraid). It amazes me what so many players are allowed to get away with these days. I reckon the refs should be told to send someone off for a whole range of blatant cheating over-reaction (including trying to get fellow players booked or sent off by simulating card-waving to the refs). Would really make headlines if a few top-class matches ended up as 5-a-side games, although you'd probably have riots and referees getting lynched unfortunately as the fans are just as likely to over-react instead of seeing the real point of trying to clean the game up. What many forget in the heat of battle is that they are setting an example to the youngsters and things like that will be copied at their level eventually, which is obviously not good for the future of the game.

Just for reference, under Law 3. (of the IFAB Laws of the Game) a match has to be abandoned if one team has less than seven players.

I think some of these are already offences, though. Refs often don't seem to enforce them, but if they did you'd end up with 10 yellows and 3 reds every game for each team.

As Sincilbanks is keen on, start fining and carding the manager - as well as the player - for avoidable on-field offences such as dissent, etc. That would soon stop it.
