Is this a problem where you live?

new report in local paper of most dangerous roads in the city. What it should be about is the most dangerous drivers - nearly all Mirpuri PAkistanis who drive with utter disregard, no license, no insurance, false addresses, false accident claims. As much as 400% above national average.

If you open link check out the number of main articles about accidents and watch the video of the high speed crash on an open road. I mean just how fast do you have to be going to crash like that??????

The police are doing nothing - no doubt cos it would be 'racist'. Some lads even blocked off a dual carriage way recently holding back traffic so they could have a race

Obviously the police are not bothered. Do they have roadside checks anymore, where they pull people over and check there cars insured and they have a licence?

I had it once only, that was 5 years ago. Not seen the police do it since.

get a load of chavs round here mate in their souped up cars. particular pet hate us undertaking on the motorway.

To be honest, i wouldn't know if it was a problem in my part of East Anglia.

The only traffic related niggles we get are Lorries from the continent smashing into each other and generally blocking one Carriageway of traffic for about 4-5 hours. That happens at least once a month.

In regards to not pulling people over for invalid credentials, tax, mot ect... isn't that now done through an automated system in the cars? If they are picked up by a computer and then pulled over and questioned, can they still claim racial discrimination?

Would hazard a guess that the most dangerous drivers round ours, are lorry drivers and the elderly.

So, just Bradford then?

It's been a problem generally across the country, it's the concentration on Bradford that probably exacerbates it.

Our local police force make no secret of the fact who they target and why - and they are transparent about it, in the main most from all communities agree with this approach as the epidemic of fraudulent claims and uninsured drivers was simply getting out of control.

Crap drivers in general, regardless of race/nationality, are a problem where I live. The amount who don't understand what "Give way to your right at a roundabout" means baffles me.

Talking of crap drivers - all the women in my household seem to think that the use of indicators is optional....

I tell them everytime and simply get the treatment....you'll know the one! :10:

tbh, if you look at the comments there are loads of examples of the police just ignoring - they cant do anything. I believe there are 6 Traffic cops for a big chunk of W Yorks which includes a stretch of the M62 so there aren't enough.

As for the cars they cant catch them. One poster saw an open top performance car with 4 lads in it and the driver on his mob do an illegal U Turn right in front of a police car who turned a blind eye. Another watched a car, again with a driver on his mob stop to let 2 cops cross the road and waved them on sarcastically. Again, not stopped.

I have seen many cars driven up the inside or outside of queued traffic to make illegal right or left turns at the lights (this is how many accidents occur. I've been over and undertaken simultaneously by cars going about 70 in a 40 limit and much more.

Seriously check out the dash cam footage of the car out of control if you haven't, its horrific. We have by far the highest insurance premiums in the country but these drivers cause it - doesn't affect them, they're never insured, the cars are either hired or stolen in many cases. Or in the one above stolen from his Dad who reported it which is why the police bothered to chase him.

this is the dashcam footage:

Thankfully we don't have huge problems like this very much in Caerphilly, we hear a police helicopter hovering occasionally and there are sometimes reports of the odd car chase but there is a problem in various parts of South Wales with car crime. I'll let the other Welsh supporters add their bit about their areas.

YOU HAVE MY SYMPATHY up there in Bradford. I wish I could suggest a public action that could be taken to stop all these things other that a phone line to report those that people know don't have insurance or are culprits in doing various things but I would have thought the police cameras could pick up the insurance and tax offenders off number plate recognition.

It's not the women in my household who don't understand what an indicator does :14:

my wife did clip someone's wing mirror on our street today. sent me down to write a note saying we'll pay for damages!

My main frustration with driving around Belfast(and the rest of the north) is that people seemingly have zero understanding of how to drive on a motorway.

The motorway into Belfast during commuting hours is utterly horrendous. Nearly everybody sits in the outside lane, and then the 'slow' drivers sit in the middle lane at 30mph. The inside lane is completely empty. They spent god know how many millions a few years back making it a 3 lane motorway, but that inside lane must be the most underused piece of tarmac in the country!

And to make matters worse..the police sit on the bridges and charge people for undertaking in it!

The bad drivers around my area are people who cut red lights, people who go 20-30mph under the speed limit.

Not just the women though, everyone round my way seems to respect their own privacy above all else , why should anyone know where they're going ?

I have seen many examples of bad driving by Asians. They follow their own rules not ours.

Middle lane hogging, speeding, incorrect lane discipline at roundabouts and traffic lights, ie straight on from a left turn only lane. Mobile phone use, discourteous and selfish driving.

Usually in a lowered Honda with stupid exhaust.

I drive to work down a 60mph country lane, before 6am.
People driving 20-30mph under the limit are the bane of my life and the difference between arriving at work at 6:15 or 6:30... sounds minor, but those minutes add up over the year.
