Is 'profit' God?

'Now the window has closed the club is proud to report that we have had yet another window where we are in profit. Regretably we only came second though as one other club made a greater profit. That is not good enough, as Spurs MUST be the best and we will be striving to win this league in the next window or two. Looking back over the transfer in/ out ledger since we took over, we are very proud to note that we are continuing to be showing a healthy profit.'

If only that approach could be shown to the football side of the business.

Bald Archie, as you already know, Levy and Co use the football side to make personal profit.
They do exactly the opposite of what owners of clubs which win regularly titles and trophies do!
But that was their intension and their main target when they bought Spurs.

Still it is to their honour that they don't lie towards the Spurs supporters.
They never have promised to the fans winning titles and trophies with the big London club.
Never!

I think that's one of the reasons that the unambitious and naïve among the Spurs fans support them!
Because like in all clubs, there are also at Spurs ambitious and unambitious with their club supporters.

By definition, you can't be ambitious with Spurs if you accept that the club hasn't won a single title or a major trophy during the seventeen years ownership of the club by Levy and Co!!!

We are talking about Spurs.
Not about Millwall, QPR or Crystal Palace.

This has to be a wind up lol

80, what makes you think that I didn't pick up the sarcasm?

I just have used the opportunity, in connection with Bald Archie's sarcastic post. to display once again what kind of “football business” Levy and Co are doing at Spurs.

I have mentioned previously in another post the 10m profit we made during the last transfer window.
That figure comes out of the table Bald Archie had probably in mind for his post.

According to that table, Spurs are (actually) in third position (not in second) after Swansea and Arse concerning net profit made during the 2017 summer transfer window.
Thus I had already in mind what Bald Archie meant by “Levy and Co regret we have finished second”.

But please stop to believe that all people have your capacity to understand.
Perhaps there are also people who have a mental capacity which is inferior to yours.
Perhaps.
You never know.

Anyway, if they ask you, you can send my comments to our owners.
