Is Our World a Simulation?

For thousands of years Hindus have believed that our world is an illusion. Now scientists and techo-fancy-pants like Elon Musk are starting to believe it too. The Guardian have an article about it but you already know whether you believe it or not.

You know it's a major worry when I start to look like the sane one don't you?
 
Certain stimulants are big business now and what they create would be a massive let down if it turned out to be an illusion so the answer is big hard no from me.

My only question is, why do you think you look sane?
 
We could be a simulation of a super advanced AI. Or maybe we're a plaything of a distant alien race. Like The Sims.

Scientists do theorize about it and it is fascinating. Far more plausible than a God scenario. It's just a theory but it's fun to think about these things.

If it is a simulation, I do wonder would the aliens/super computer be worried that we have the ability to question our reality? Maybe that's proof that it isn't a simulation.



 
Anyone seen the Trueman Show with Jim Carey? Perhaps this is what we are in. A big cosmic TV show
