“And now FSG have to demonstrate their commitment too by using the £75m-plus generated by this run and back their man in the transfer market.

“I am not talking about signing the likes of Andy Robertson – as good as he has been.

“I am talking about wandering into White Hart Lane, plonking £150m on the table in front of Daniel Levy and saying: ‘I’ll give you that for Christian Eriksen, Toby Alderweireld and Dele Alli.’

He is about 50 mil short. Toby is going anyway and we have his position covered. So 200 mil to replace Eriksen and Alli ? Could it be done ? Bale , Rashford and Martial. It's not going to happen and Stan is a nutter . I'm just giving it the thought process.

1) anybody told him White Hart Lane ain't there anymore .
2) how does he think he can just wander into the building site that is THFC, those security guys are a bit roughty toughty round there ..
3) think he is slightly undervaluing our lads , wouldn't Daniel have a funny story to tell his wife when he got home .........." Hello Danny , have you had a good day at the office ?" " you ain't gonna believe this darling .......can you put me suit in the dry cleaners , I'm afraid I pissed myself laughing !"
4) fucking good luck wandering around Tottenham with £150m in your pocket . There are a few people round there who can help you out with that.

You are right Ex , he is a 100% plonker and an insult to the football fraternity . It just goes to show how they see themselves up there.as RD said, most delusional on the planet ......I can't believe he didn't make it £160 m and offer to take Hugo off our hands as well.!!!

A couple of weeks ago we were agreeing with this guy. He may have the valuations wrong but the rest is a huge compliment to our team.

Stan’s been singing our praises for a couple of seasons now. Although, I would be content to keep £50m (maybe less) in the bank and attempt to capture Toby and CE. Hypothetically speaking of course!

PMSL.???

And DL replies ... you are still short and not by a little... but with that offer I would say goodbye to Toby and a few others, just not Eriksen and Alli. (Though to be completely honest...unless we go nuts next season, I can see the likes of Alli and others looking for a move...)

Don't Know,US, I think Levy must have given Poch assurances about funds for players, otherwise he wouldn't have signed an extension,Alli wouldn't be a guaranteed starter if he went elsewhere, like he is at Spurs,New stadium and all, can't see us selling our top stars.

Rich and 80 are correct. It's a compliment. He has been singing our praises. Three of our players are effectively good enough to take that squad over the line. But it works the other way too. If we had Mane, Robertson, Firminho we'd be close to winning big. Question becomes who gets back by the respective owners to get the final jigsaw bits first.

I think he might be closer to £100m short, does any one think Eriksen or Alli will go for less than £100m? If figures being reported of £75m for Toby are correct, I can't see our Daniel considering anything under £100m. Having said that I don't think he's interested at all

Eriksen is one of the best AM's on the planet. He is worth around 150m by himself. Alli is 22 with massive reputation. I would say he is worth around 120-130m. Toby for 75-90m. Stan the woman beater is way off.

Scouse fans are all the same. Always the victim always think the best players would go there. The reality is if we keep on improving we will own them financially as well as on the pitch.

But to stay ahead of them we must invest, we can't have another summer of average signings.

The answer is I hope it's us, they already have the edge in final third ability and Keita joining them soon would give them another class addition. I see today that they are expressing an interest in Pulisic, if he were to leave BVB I hope it is to join us rather than them.

We have to accept that for the time being they are a bigger attraction than us, but that is slowly changing.
I know there is a tendency on this forum to focus on the players that have not lived up to expectation, and some appear to take delight in slagging the clubs transfers, but the reality is we are better than perhaps any other club in the PL. If we weren't how's it possible that we have finished in the top 3 for past 3 season with virtually zero net spend, so IMO these poster that keep slagging the club transfer activity may want to consider why exactly why the have such a negative perception.

Top 3 and semi-finals of cups, but not quite getting over the line to win the ultimate prizes, why do you think that might be?

But we have signed some average and poor players over the last 3 summers. Why pretend we haven't?

We have a very strong first 11 and when everyone is fit and on form we can beat anyone. Our bench is pretty decent when fit as well. But can be improved on. Poch is a very good manager over all. So it's not down to some miracle we have finished 3rd, 2nd and 3rd in the last 3 seasons.

We must move forward. To do that we must sign better players.

Who takes delight in players flopping? They are not a spurs fan if that is the case.

I
100% agree with you there RD. That won't always happen as we well know , ha ha , but in this case I am with you all the way . What worries me though is that they still pick up these class players on the way where we end up with the Nj and Nk and sissokos . Could you imagine if we had taken a punt on Salah instead . I know hindsight and all that but maybe that is all about to change now poch has put his foot down with a heavy hand

I'm not pretending, and I fully agree that we have made mistakes. My issue is with those who believe that our record in the market is poor, any signing is a risk. More so when our market is below the proven performers i.e £50m+ players, these players represent less of a risk.
