The situation for Lambert is getting worse there:-

How fans have turned against Paul Lambert and the club

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56096898

A few mentions of Danny & Nicky in the comments section as "waiting in the wings". The Chairman for some reason gave Lambert a 5 year contract last year though, so his potential pay off may be the on;ly thing keeping him in the job.

The BBC like to run 'who's getting the sack' stories quite often and have run out of Premier League ones at the minute. No doubt there will be some movement on this at some point, but that 5 year contract is a huge problem for them unless, as suggested in some places, it does have a break inserted within it should certain expectations not be met

Ouch. 96M to be mid table in L1. That is ****uppery of the highest order.

So Ipswich will be next to go for 10 points off and all that reckless spending completely wiped out and simply start again.

Really should be at least a double relegation, not a minor few points lost. And all taxes and football debts repaid in full, however long it takes, and all transfers except free transfers banned until those debts have been repaid.

They will be if Evans calls in his loans. I should imagine they are benign loans 'currently', a bit like Fenty was/is in codsville.

Evans problem is that if he wanted/needed to sell Ipswich as a L1 club he would kiss most of his 96M goodbye.

Double relegation - interesting about change - Lincoln possibly in Championship while Ipswich go down to NL 🤔. Hope we don’t get them in the Cup with the Cowleys in charge 😳

If the money put in is all loans, why is the chairman worried about another few million to pay off lambert?
conclusion: chairman must be happy with lambert’s progress.

The thing is if you compare Posh and Ipswich you can see just how unfavourably the fixtures have fallen for Ipswich. They have had the toughest fixtures in the league and their upcoming 5 fixtures are also the toughest in the league. In contrast Posh have has the easiest fixtures in the league. Ipswich are the only team in the league not to take a single point from the current top 6 - there's no denying that but outside of that their results are up there with the best.
