What 3 things do The Imps need to do to beat Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon?

1) Play our best XI from the start. There will obviously be a couple of places in the team where selection isn't straight forward such as should Bolger be recalled or whether Grant deserves a starting position, but too many changes for this match will significantly reduce the chances of a win. Ipswich will probably rotate some as they played tonight and have other priorities so if we play our best team from the start against players who might not be in tune with their teammates we can cause them problems. We have the EFL tie against Rotherham next week where some of the fringe players can get a game

2) We really need to put our chances away. Last Saturday at Wimbledon was typical of our recent displays where we played well but when chances were made they were not taken. When we are making those chances we need to be clinical and make them count

3) Play with a bit of freedom. Ipswich are the highest rated club in this draw and a trip to Portman Road is about as difficult as it could have been. There is an upside to this though in that we will not be expected to win this game. In those circumstances teams can play with a bit extra freedom and as often happens in cup games that leads to favourites losing. Play with this attitude may bring success on Saturday
