iOS9 Warning Up-Date?

Disgruntled Apple customers are flocking to Twitter to report glitches with the iOS 9 update, which they say has crashed their devices and rendered them inoperable.

Some users trying to upgrade their devices received error messages during the process, while those with older devices reported having their devices lock up when they were trying to upgrade, according to CNBC.

Those who take their crippled devices to the Apple Store have been told that they can either return their phones to factory settings, and potentially lose any data that has not been backed up, or wait for a fix.

While many tech experts encourage users to wait a few days, or even longer, before installing a software update, so that the bugs can be found and fixed, some people are determined to be early adopters.

While Apple’s cohesive and uniform operating system is lauded as one of its biggest assets, there is a downside to Apple releasing an update to the masses all at once. Tech analysts believe that many of the current update issues that users are experiencing are due to overloaded servers.

I find it incomprehensible that these things are rigorously tested before being applied to users phones.

Amazing stuff.

I must say I didn't enjoy the Apple experience when I had the ipad, I've now got Android. I certainly wasn't impressed when I looked at the iphones.

Spoke to a couple of people this morning and they have had the same issues, phone locked, total restore losing everything.

Yeah, one of Deano and my friends has had the same, he's lost all his numbers and stuff off the phone. Pretty pathetic isn't it? How on earth can they not have tested this before doing it?!

dont you love apple J :17:

The error messages are down to trying to download and install it the minute it goes live, servers crash as too many people trying to do it all at once. That's the problem there.

As for the wiping stuff off your phone, that's something someone has done clearly. Probably hasn't got iCloud turned on or something similar. Doesn't just wipe your phone without any warning.

Apple put out public beta's of the iOS software and Mac OS software. People are supposed
To feedback during the beta process but often don't and so software gets released and it has bugs in it. They always bring out version 2 of it within a week or 2 because of this. I haven't actually had a problem with iOS 9 at all unlike previous versions.

Think you are wrong randy.stand, our mate went to the apple shop and advised him, the cloud was fecked as was the phone.

He said it was mayhem in there.

Thanks everyone for the heads up. I've now told both my wife and son not to update their devices.

There are ways to control the number of people downloading at any time. Just look at Microsofts Windows 10 deployment recently. That ran very smoothly.

What with the recent Malware attacks and the decrease in iPad sales, I think Apple need to up their game.
