IOS7

From what I've seen of it I've deleted my 3rd party flashlight app thus saving 12mb.
Other than that it just seems like a desperate attempt to claw back some custom.
It looks nice, but most of the new features that it's added IMO should already be on the iProduct thus not needing to be added later and promoted with bells and whistles.

well its made a bloody fortune for them so either its great or the public are hugely gullible

I suspect the latter, when your CEO (or was it Chairman) resigns and your share price goes up something's not right.

Bit of Emporer's New Clothes at work

Updated yesterday... biggest bug for me was it deleted all my contacts... I panicked, googled it, saw loads of other people were having the same problem and that they come back a few minutes later. Though some said it will be doing it daily so I may have that to look forward to once again. Some of my apps (including whatsapp) seem a lot more unstable now too.

If you haven't updated already, don't. Because now it's too late to downgrade.

If you haven't backed up everything to icloud before updating, well, that's just unfortunate. Always back-up your contacts etc... freund. Although that's no comfort for you now, i know.

Biggest catch is the fact that they didn't advertise that if you upgrade and are using any software up to Leopard 10.5.8, your itunes will no longer acknowledge your iphone device.
It prompts you to update to itunes 11.1 but only software from Snow Leopard will run itunes 11.1

Sly Apple. Conning you without you knowing.

Bad Apple

twas ever thus, never been seduced by the capitalist hippies - they're just microsoft in disguise and I got sick of itunes and quicktime trying to hijack my laptops years ago

Also, the new OS runs down your battery ridiculously quickly, making owners of a regularly used iphone have to charge it up twice a day!

I have to charge mine 2-3 times a day anyway due to the amount I'm on my phone... the battery drain stuff (app background refresh causes it) can be turned off.

My contacts came back Galv, just a weird glitch where it makes them dissapear for 10-20 minutes.

Didn't know the iTunes thing. That's a real **** as I'm running an old OS (10.5.8) on my Mac. Was meaning to update it anyway but not keen on the fact they're forcing me to...

Other annoying things... It's decided text alerts should be on first name basis. So now I don't know wich of the many Dan's I know has texted me until I go to the messages inbox.

Some good improvements. You can now see exact timestamp of all messages by swiping left on any message. Also improved text editing when you're revising a message. Siri has a few more functions for those that use it and the search function in emails no longer requires you to say what you want searched (from, to, subject + etc...), it works more like gmail/watever search and just looks through everything for you which is much better IMO.

If you're using icloud, it can simply take time to promulgate via the servers to your devices, in short they simply got overloaded, or you lost connection at some point.

I've got it on my iPad, and it seems to have reloaded every email I've ever received. 4000+ sitting unread, yet most of them had been deleted previously?

My 4S battery is shite as it is, I can't see that it will be any worse once I've downloaded iOS7. I don't have enough space yet :10:

I have been waiting a few mths to upgrade my iphone 4, which I have had for 2 1/2 years until the new phones came out. the 4 cant upgrade to IOS7, so I hadnt any real knowledge of its good/bad points. I waiting until last Sat afternoon to upgrade, but it seemed that the EE upgrade system was so overworked that it couldnt match me a price plan and kept changing its figures. after an hour + and being told the help line was closed (as if was after 5pm) I gave up and an now deciding to wait another week or two until everything calms down and perhaps a few bugs are sorted

when you've freed up the space, follow these tips and you'll see a marked improvement:

It's also worth noting that if you leave wi-fi on or are in a bad signal area that it will continue to poll for a base station and so it can be worth switching off wi-fi until you know you are at a place where you can hop on.

location services (used in all sort of apps is alos a battery killer) so make the effort and only have it on when you need it.

All in all a bit of a pain, but it will improve in the next update.

You can upgrade your iphone 4 to IOS7. I just still think it's not worth it.
Even the graphics are cartoonish compared to IOS6. :21:

i'm just going to let you lot beta test it for me. It's got an office 2013 feel about it.

Stay away from it. The hippy capitalists have pulled the wool firmly over our eyes on this one. A forced upgrade on all your devices, if you happen to upgrade to IOS7.
Bastards!

I rather like it, of course for those that install it and don't like it, you can revert to a IOS6 look and feel by disabling motion. Hippy Capitalists are of course proper sneaky bastards; improving things that you don't really want just to force you into buying it...in fact you could say it's just as bad as the Hippy Golf industry and the very Hippy fashion industry and I bet if we really tried we could add to that Hippy sneaky industrial capitalist bastards list...car manufacturers? I wonder what sneaky bastard capitalist industry would head the sneaky bastard league table?
