The 12 Group winners qualify direct for World Cup

The 12 Group runners-up will be in the play-offs next March, together with the 4 best-ranked group winners of the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League that did not finish their European Qualifiers group stage in first or second place.

The priority order for the four World Cup playoff places through the UNL is: Spain, Germany, Portugal, France, England, Norway, Wales, Czechia, Romania, Sweden, North Macedonia, Northern Ireland, Moldova, San Marino.

Wales will have a chance of the play-offs, even if they finish in third place, depending on where the priority order teams above them finish in their respective groups.
