Excellent win for Wales!

It took just 11 minutes for Norway to pierce the Welsh defence, a brilliant through ball from Odegaard to Bobb who beat Ward at his near post.

In the 38th minute Sorba Thomas beat his man out on the right and crossed the ball int the box and James was on hand to equalise.

Level at half-time. Wales came out on the offensive at the start of the second-half, James chased a back-pass, stole the ball and drew the foul from Heggem just outside the box. Heggem, last man, was red carded and Williams scored from the resultant free kick.

Norway were still dangerous in attack even with a man down, but Wales also had chances to get that third goal but just couldn’t score, which led to a nervy ending to the game as Norway tried desperately to equalise.

Great result in the end and we can now look forward to gaining revenge over Denmark on Sunday.

Wales v Denmark Sun 4 Oct 19:45 live on BBC2 19:15

After that impressive win against World Cup Quarter-Finalists Norway on Thursday night we play Denmark again on Sunday. It’s revenge time after losing the away leg 2-0, can the Wales players put on a repeat show and get another win against the odds, we certainly hope so.

FT: 0-1 ( Hojlund 75’ pen)
Too much playing out from the back and nothing in the final third. The quality and intensity wasn’t there tonight that we showed against Norway.
Two very good saves from Ward but a mistake with a dangerous pass-back from Cabango resulted in Ward bringing down Isaksen and gifting a penalty to Denmark that decided the game. I was surprised that Harris came on when it should have been Moore and Dan James sub not called upon at all.
We are facing an uphill climb now. Two games left in November and six points to play for.
Sorba Thomas and Ben Cabango both one match suspensions next game in Norway.

Scotland 1 - Slovenia 2

Welsh, who played right centre-back in a back three for Scotland, came off after 66’. Vipotnik, who led the line for Slovenia, came off after 79’, both were seemingly uninjured.

I hope they’re on the way back to Swansea first thing in the morning.
