International break injury news

Skoorb

Alert Team
Well, the international break appears to have at least one casualty as we prepare for perhaps the most pivotal games of our league season.......

De Bruyne reportedly picked up a knock in training before Belgium's WC qualifier against Geeec on Saturday.

Any reports of Kolarov, Bravo or Otamendi picking up knocks; slipping on bath mats, pulled muscles changing a tyre or anything to do with the bones in the foot made famous by Beckham?

Watched Otamendi in the game V Chile.
Did he ever play for free kicks. Talk about play acting !
Went down like he'd been shot a few times.
Too be fair, he wasn't the only one.
Sanchez was trying for the oscar also.

Argentina don't play til tomorrow night. Our Argies are going to be knackered and jetlagged.

Otamendi suspended so I presume he'll return to Manchester early and Aguero has been dropped from the starting XI, hopefully he sits out the whole game.

Meanwhile, Southgate has said part of the reason he hooked Sterling last night was that he was feeling a tightness in his back.

Messi has just been banned. I wonder if that means Serge will have to play.

Quite probably.

The size of the fine is a joke though - £8,100? Now that is going to act as a serious deterrent to someone on a six figure sum each week...... :014:

Aguero played just the last 7 minutes last night.

And Fernandinho didn't play for Brazil.

So apart from KDB which doesn't seem all that serious we've got through with a clean bill of health it seems.

Bearing in mind the apparent World wide conspiracy to keep City marginalised and 'in our place' (wherever that might be - mid table or just above, like Everton in a faded kit) - imagine what the ban and fine would have been had it been Aguero throwing his toys out of the pram instead of Mr Messy. Although by that rationale FIFA would probably have made him play every minute of every match, especially friendlies. But quadrupled the fine. Or double quadrupled it.

Good news on the injury front although I am slightly disappointed that Kolarov and Otamendi haven't picked up the sort of knocks that would make them doubtful for Sundays late afternoon clash with the Gunners.
