Interim manager?

Its a good job we won the League Cup and looks like Sunday football next season.

As for sacking MP, not sure, but Bryan Kidd could not do a worse job, I just think we have lost it.
 
I just think something needs to change now to shake things up. At this rate we could slip out of top four and as Mr. B. suggested, maybe below the Europa place.



 
Why do fans call for the managers head when the team doesn't win, Pellers has had an awful season with injuries and today might have gone better if we had not lost RS so early, we all knew with Mangala and MD at the back we would be up against it and MD had another nightmare, how is changing the manager at this late stage going to help, is Kidd going to stop players getting injured?

We have got the furthest we have ever been in the CL and a trophy with two thirds of a team all season and fans want him sacked, unbelievable.
 
Wonderful result today..I know the result...,when I saw MDM name in the team sheet.with none other out there to take the job it's now MP to save the team and automatic CL qualification now becomes distant dream.From solid home side when he took over from Mancini to what he has done to the team see BD..MP never learned from mistakes,continued losing to all top teams in PL,still likes to play MDM.
If MP beats PSG at home it's going to be the greatest achievemen this season so far..leave aside Carling cup shoot out victory.

It is a time to stand firm but I can understand the anguish. We have failed to beat another shite side and lost at home yet again.

There might yet be some memorable moments this season but I also fear more suffering ahead. The injuries keep coming.

Thank God for this break before Bournemouth.

So who would you go for Rising, given it's for a (likely) maximum 10 games? Who would take it, who would be able to re-motivate the players (if that's the problem)?
 
Interim manager - that's essentially what Pellegrini is, I think that's been part of the problem these last couple of years.

I'm not sure the owners would do it but I do think something radical needs to happen to arrest this slide.

Tosin, yeah he's a kid but it couldn't have been any worse, I feel sorry for Demichelis, it's painful watching a player's legs go and then being asked to play that high line.

I've no idea, which is why I posed the question to the forum to see if anyone had any thoughts.



 
Thing is, Sagna (this season) is a far better defender than Zaba, and we knew Martial/Rashford were going to be bombing down that side. I think Zaba would have been exposed.
Tosin, yeah I get that. Probably would have been a better shout. I can only imagine the outrage though if he'd gone for that, and the lad had **cked up. I just feel Manuel was in a no win situation due to injuries
 
Discussing this very matter with a load of very disgruntled Blues in the pub after the debacle yesterday.

Our conclusion? Much as I detest the man, how about trying to coax "The Arrogant one" to caretake until the end of the season?

We could pay him next to nothing, but give him a two-stage bonus - first bonus if he keeps us in the Top 4, second, larger bonus if he wins us the Champions League. Imagine the absolute chaos a move like this would cause the Stretfords? We'd benefit from the media coverage Mourinho always brings, and we'd get that "new manager bounce" at a crucial time.

Much as I have always stood by pellegrini, he is clearly not able to motivate the team, and we are currently in what amounts to relegation form. I think he's gone on gardening leave in his head, and it would be best if the club stuck him there permanently.
 
Thought he was taking over from tactical turtle? So we're going to put a man in charge with instruction to beat the team he is going to manage next season into 4th place and make it easier for Pep (a man he intensely dislikes) to settle in whilst his own club settle for Thursday night football.
