Problem would be implementing it fairly and correctly and knowing where to draw the line which would be the hardest obstacle.Unfortunately the ones that this system aims to catch just wouldn't work presumably these tests would only be carried out when you go to sign on considering amphetamine and cocaine only lasts up to 48 hours in your system then you would have to be incredibly stupid to get caught some would though. But cannabis will stay in your system for anything up to 3 month so people who use cannabis as an alternative to laboratory made drugs people with crippling diseases such as MS or with severe disabilities would be more than likely the ones targeted. The system is easily manipulated just like employers do when work dries up and work staff need to be released so out come the random tests catch a few then sack them with no compensation something you never see when there's an abundance of work. For me it would only make things worse for the more vulnerable of society.

Yes, was thinking it might be tokenism gator, they can't test them each and every time and as you say, many drugs leave the system quickly.

And yes, cannabis and the chronically ill... In the US, (probably not every state) you can get medical cannabis so obviously for them not an issue.

Yeah J in America if you have a doctors certificate there are a lot of States that allows you to grow a certain amount of plants for personal use.Over here we have a big factory in Wales cultivating cannabis for providing experimental pain relief to see if there any harmful side affects or more likely to see if they can profit out of it.We are led to believe that they are growing this cannabis with the hallucinogenic strain of the plant taken out well i'm no expert but surely the mind altering gene of the plant is what gives it,it's pain relief qualities.

Yes, they've been chasing the holy grail (pain relief without the being stoned bit) for years, they've not achieved it yet!

Just bullshit mate if they could do this why don't they do the same to morphine it would be just like drinking coffee with no caffeine wtf is the point.

Not sure gator. I'd love the pain killing side of it, I'd like the part that stops the shakes/involuntary movements etc when they happen, I don't want the stoned feeling whilst trying to work, drive etc.

If they could isolate the active part it would be amazing, however, maybe it is the sum of all the parts that kill the pain etc, so maybe they won't be able to.

Or maybe drug companies aren't as interested as perhaps they can't make so much money out of it.

All in all, don't know but one can hope!

Seen this previously. I presume the bloke in the picture represents a worker in an industry that regularly gets tested. I deal with companies who use drug testing, at one place the union asked for it to be relaxed at Christmas , effectively saying that they wanted people to let off if they arrive , use machinery and drive drunk.

tbf when we was at college using lathes we all got pizzed and smoked the green at dinner time and yet the poor bugger Virgil the Virgin we called him lost all his fingers on the lathe bar his thumbs and that poor sod never got drunk or smoked weed,,,,,,,the lesson here is smoke weed use machinery and get pizzed and yam alright, if not then you will lose fingers!
