Bit of advice lads & ladettes

After losing a load of weight the past twelve months I want to start getting a bit more trim / fit.

At 38 I'm too old for the ripped look but I've been considering doing the insanity program , I'm a stubborn bugger so I know I wouldn't give up if I started it.

Anybody had any experience of it and is it all it's cracked up to be

Cheers

I'm 44 and getting, slowly, to the ripped look. Hard work but I will get there!!!

Not sure on insanity, will google later and hopefully Juan Mourep will see this, or pm him the link, he's a qualified instructor,

Cheers lads. I'd appreciate that JF.

After being a fat bugger and shifting it I want another thing to get motivated to do.

Who told you that rubbish?

the insanity program

Yes and yes, it's a high impact, high tempo circuit, it works fine, if you are not used to exercise it will wipe you out to begin with, but stick with it, like any programme, it only works when you do :35:

Variation on a theme. Looks painful!! These sort of beasting programmes I can't personally do with the head pressure. Not sure I would do quite this sort I would be more looking a weight circuit training and also I do swear by interval training (see info in the sticky weights thread at top) however if you get your diet right and stick to this, or the others available, I can't see why you wouldn't get excellent results.

Wracking my brains as to the biggest if these programmes, become a massive money spinner.

You are paying for advice already known really but if this motivates you and it isn't too expensive then why not. Let us know how it goes.

I've let Juan know so hopefully he will have time to advise.

Sounds like you e done brilliantly already by the way bsixer. :1:

You ok on diet and nutrition etc? That great weight loss thread has some good info in, I did bounce it up recently.

Good luck!

Thanks mate , I'll give it a crack then. As I said I'm known for being a stubborn sod so I know I won't give in till I've done it.

Brilliant when you are of that mindset, I'm the same, if I say I'm doing something, come hell or high water I will do it!

Phenomenal weight loss, bet you feel so much better? Energy and all that should skyrocket. :1:

Adding years to your life, love it mate, just love it!!

I've got to admit I feel much better. I got married in the august and couldn't look at the wedding photos it was the kick in the nads I needed.

There's no way I'd go back to that.

Yeah, great to have the bad photos as a reminder. I have a few that motivate me for sure!!!!

Bsixer make sure you don't pay full whack for it though as its bloody expensive. See if there is a DL on the net or see if anyone has it you can borrow for a while to try it out first.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over...

And getting abs and a six pack.

You nicked the 1st line from me: That's what I thought this was about, or maybe it is if you take this on :10:

May I suggest you keep a bucket within easy reach :35:

Lost 5stone in a year?! Wow, well done mate. A bit of discipline goes a long way when you are exercising. Good luck with the routine.
