India v England

Fearful for the fourth test with our batsman suffering from serious scrambled brain, syndrome.

Superb performance from Axar Patel again, Ashwins classy spin twin who turns the ball the other way.

Having said that how many wickets did the Indian spinners get with balls that were going straight on.

21 was the total in the match of balls that went straight on .

We can't play spin. England know it, India know it. It doesn't have to take straying far from ICC observers eyes, by groundsmen to produce very pro, home favourable conditions.

It's just an exaggerated opposite side of the coin to countries that struggle with swing and our choice of match ball when they come over here.

It has been recognised how hard it is to win away test series nowadays and the debate is whether you believe that having home advantage you should be able to produce any (safe) surface that hands you an advantage or whether there should be more outside/independent intervention to produce better contests.

Not really, this looks a 300+ wicket and we are 166-6.

In a way it's more frustrating than the last test, because this time we are building partnerships and getting to a point of comfort and then losing a wicket out of the blue.

It’s almost like we knew we had no chance of winning this series so didn’t bother trying. I can’t think of any other reason why we played a stronger team against Sri Lanka than India
