Increase in first and second postage

We don't have that division in Ireland. So a standard letter to anywhere on the island costs a euro. It's €1.35 to Great Britain.
I don't tend to send many letters.

I'd be amazed if prices don't start going up biannually to be honest. From there end they need to cover the long distance costs on what is a dying medium of communication. Won't be long before local post ceases to be cost efficient and they have to address that fallout.

We all know though parcel delivery will only increase as cover in the meantime as well.

It will not be long before Amazon take over the parcel side of the Royal Mail (or what ever they call it these days)

The current service is struggling to keep up with the demands of Amazon.

Won't be long before Amazon push prices down more if that's the case. Makes perfect business sense for them if they are that important a customer.

To be honest for Amazon with the fingers they have in various pies, RM would save them a lot of legwork from an outside perspective.
