Igor Tudor - Manager Thread

Read that this was something Levy put in contracts. Relegation proofing us financially might have been his last major contribution before the nepo babies took over. Will obviously mean most players will push hard for the exit - can't imagine their mortgages/lifestyles would cope well with 50% pay cut.

Wonder if Gallagher's contract has the same clause?
It's rumoured he has been made our top earner to secure his signature because he was Poch's captain at Chelsea and his signing is part of a plan for Poch to return in the summer. I guess there could be something in that?

According to Alan Brazil, who knows Poch, Spurs have made no contact with him so not sure if there’s any truth in any of the rumours referencing his return.

That rumour was started as theory on twitter. It's a nice idea, but he's been a long term target for us - now the opportunity arose so we did it, simple as that. Even though he absolutely wasn't the player we needed to change our fortunes IMO.

I get the sentiment but it doesn't work.
I expect 100% from my staff at all times (we all have off days, granted)

Those overtly looking to move on, or working their notice are also expected to maintain 100%, if they don't then they leave a lot earlier than they expected and references are withheld.

I get that retail and football are different, however having respect for yourself and pride in what you do is a fundamental of life in my opinion.

Well you are obviously better at managing people than this club is.

Are the club seriously thinking of sacking Igor should we lose/draw on Thursday?
It’s written: Igor is locked in regardless of results.
Even if the Crystal Palace result is a disaster Vinai & Lange will lock themselves in the conference room for the next 3 months, then conclude to make no decision as it’s too risky!

As I said on Sunday if there is no change in his tactical approach against Palace and we get beat he should be toast. Thought the same at half time on Sunday and nothing he’s said since convinced me he’s the right appointment and Lange should go with him. Much prefer he makes me eat my words as I prefer humble pie to smug satisfaction.

On a positive note just home from watching the Mighty Mariners beat Manure Old Boys vanity project eleven 3-1, they brought a massive 52 fans even though they’re pushing for promotion, god knows why they didn’t buy Bury or Oldham.

Holy F**k

A "no nonsense" coach with a reputation for short term improvement. What can possibly go wrong. We're in for a ride and a half.

Anyone remember a Swiss geezer who rocked up to WHL waving a tube ticket !
Typed a couple of weeks ago with a sense of humour - I'm beyond lost for words and now in a state of utter disbelief.

Tudor after last night's game...

"I need to choose the right guys because the boat is going in the direction that I want to go, and needs to go, and who is in the boat can stay. Otherwise they can leave the boat."

WTF 😳
