If you'd had the choice: Keep Toure or Nasri?

Johnny Baguette

Alert Team
One of these fellas from the old guard was certainly going to go by the end of August, if not both of them. According to Samir he went of his own will.

Either player has the capability to change a game in an instant and historically Yaya's done that more than Samir.

Given the choice I would have kept the younger player but I still hope Yaya will still give us a few more magic moments before his contract expires.

Think they're both wonderful footballers but do believe time was up for both, as such trying to decide which one to retain is like trying to decide whether you'd prefer gonorrhoea or syphilis.

Yeah, but one can be fatal, the other not so much.

They don't have a position per se, they are deep lying anti play makers, ideal for a PEG side come to think of it.

Nasri, he obviously wanted to take Pep's ideas on board and looked the part on his only appearance.

Yaya on the other hand slowed the play going forward and was the weakest link.

I think it was obvious that YT's agent could not find anyone to come even close with what we pay his client he will sit out the year for 11 million and then retire

Should Kipling have bit the bullet and taken a (probably) massive pay cut in order to keep on playing at a top level? He doesn't have many more years left as a player but could still claim a berth in most PL teams.

Point taken on Nasri seeming to have taken PG's tips on board but he seems very much part of City's past rather than present or indeed future - ditto Toure.
