If we don't win tonight....

It doesn't really matter. A good friend of mine has their partner suffering with terminal cancer and is about to lose their father too.

There are always more important things than football. If it doesn't happen at St James Park, just remember that everything needs to be put in perspective.

Two days ago an old friend of mine died......what Lincoln have done these past two years is amazing. Simply getting to the play offs is more than good enough for me.

Very true, I lost a friend to cancer on Tuesday, makes you think, however, there's nothing rational about being a football fan. I'll be shouting, singing etc at the telly tonight, I can't help myself. The disappointment won't last long if we don't do it though. Respect to all imps suffering from the effects to themselves and family and friends that that vile disease cancer brings and cmon you imps.

Agree wholeheartedly. Work colleague of mine has been diagnosed with something which he won't last long with. Mid 40's with a young family. We will all celebrate if we win tonight, but a loss is not the end of the world.

Bill Shankley was a great manager but he was wrong when he said that football was more important than life or death. Doesn't come close

I always thought Shankley said that tongue in cheek. He was a big family man - remember Emlyn Hughes talking about him
