IEC Changes

We heard they wanted a director of football maybe this is who they had in mind. He appears to currently be some sort of club official in Hong Kong after being moved up stairs from managing the team.

According to transfermarkt.com he was manager a few years ago for 12 games in HK top division of one of their bigger sides, he did just over half a season and won 6, lost 6, drew 0 before being replaced. Not been a manager since. Not much info on him as far as I can tell.

Sounds about par. Man who knows sweet fa about football appoints another man who knows sweet fa about EFL to a club with a manger who knows sweet fa about football... Not long before April 1st

Anyone heard anything about these so called changes first it would take about 4 weeks
Sure that was november correct me if im wrong its nearly 3 month ago and nothing happened

Wigan Athletic will have a change of owner
A document published on the Hong Kong stock exchange has listed the sale by International Entertainment Corporation to a fund 51 per cent owned by chairman Stanley Choi.
Today's development is not a surprise - IEC announced their intentions last November, and this is the next stage in the process.
One interesting line in the document is the Championship club is valued at £17.5million.

The move is not expected to result in significant changes to the day-to-day running of the club.Wigan Athletic will have a change of owner

Know your consumers and your market. Seems IEC failed to do due diligence in this regard if they are disappointed revenue hasn’t increased. If they thought a big telly would get more punters through the door for example we could have told them it wouldn’t. They are also extremely naive if they thought we’d get promoted to the PL next season. You just wonder bollocks they’ve been fed.

They obviously know we have underperformed so why they haven’t taken action to remove the bloke directly responsible for that I have no idea. Some very poor decisions have been taken and judgement flawed. Either way numerous changes at various levels of management are required at this club.

It is when they don’t even come to any games
Really dont see why it matters if they come to games or not,if they are running their business in Hong Kong then they send representitives to the Matches! No problem with that!!

To be honest. I’d take everything in that report with a pinch of salt.

The business, Wigan Athletic, has been separated from IEC. To avoid going through the obligations & scrutiny of the HK Stock Exchange. The same individuals are running and financing the club.

However, they still need to paint the best picture for IEC moving the business on.

We have talent in our under 18s and under 23s worth 17.5 million. Chuck in a first team squad, stadium, academy and two training grounds for free and that 17.5 million is an absoloute steal.

So you do not think they have internet or Sky Sports in Hong Kong and are just reading the results in a newspaper the day after?[/QUOTE

If your happy with what is going on that’s fine Me and a lot more are very worried for the future of our club if we go down watch what happens
