Vital Champions League
Somebody on the Swindon 'board not very happy with 'our' critique of them :hehe:

Lincoln Forum

Their style of play, if they actually had one, was pretty crude. None of this passing nonsense, just get the bugger forward.

To be fair to them, it almost got a point. If their keeper hadn’t made a mess of coming for that cross it would have done.

It might not win many fans, but if it wins points then it’s successful (I know it wasn’t today but Kovar really messed up that corner.

Can you imagine the meltdown if they had scored that sitter at the end and their keeper hadn’t flapped to gift us our goal. It was our worst performance this season against a very poor side

And this coming from a lot that had the Cowleys as managers for years! fucking irony!

We had a team patched together with....
a right back playing in central midfield
4 players (Kovar, Smith, Stevens and Odimayo) with about 40 league appearances between them
no recognised striker
a defender starting his first game for almost a year
9 missing 1st team players
3 U18 academy players on the bench
a manager who took over just over 1 week ago.

How very gracious of them.

More clicks then. Very generous of them to read our forum and then provide incentives for others to do the same

> How are previous managers relevant?
> Is that their defence for why they were bad? Sounds like they want us to feel sorry for them and donate some points their way.

All in all a bit strange to get upset about rival fans' assessment of your team. Not worth the stress, guys. For what it's worth I've been to many Swindon games with a friend who is one of their fans, and have always found them to be quite balanced and welcoming.

HAHAHAHAHAHA! Strange to be upset about a rivals assessment, have you read the threads on here recently?

Other fans not liking us is always the best thing tbh

Everyone liked us when we were shit and just wrote how we'd been beaten soundly by another club I'd had to look up on a map

If we play that badly again this season we will lose if the opposition is half decent. Thankfully Swindon are not a half decent side and are relegation fodder. It is not our fault their replacements for their injured players are either crocked journeymen or in nappies who had no idea how to tackle, but were expert at kicking lumps out of Grant.

Everyone had a view of the Cowleys, but in the situation we were in when they took over we couldn’t have asked for more. They did whatever they had to do to win and any team in the league would have bitten your hand off to have achieved what they did in three years. As for now, completely different team, manager and playing style. How old are our players and how many league appearances did the team as a whole have behind them at the start of the season, but look where we were, and are. Sorry Mr Swindon supporter but it’s just views of opposition fans.

I find it incredible that fans of other clubs are so critical of Danny Cowley. Even some Shrewsbury fans say they wouldn't want him to replace the hopeless Sam Ricketts. Shall we remind people of the Cowley roll of honour?

Sanitation, the medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, a fresh water system, and public health

Any lower league club who wouldn’t take DC in a heartbeat must be totally crackers. The whole package would guarantee success for their club.
Maybe not 100%, but as close as you could be to certain. Similar sized clubs to us would be mad not to have those boys at the top of their list.
I always think back to the Beck days, playing style, and shenanigans, didn't matter a chuff when we were too after about 15 games. One loss and he was a tool.
